You are missing out on Nahida herself. Yes, she's an awesome elemental applicator, but her personal damage is still quite good. Great AoE coverage and hits for 30K pretty easily. And then she provides her team with a big ol' chunk of EM to help with all the dendro related reactions. She's one of the best off-field DPS out there. Or to put it another way, she's better than Xiangling, dealing more damage, contributing to stronger reactions, buffing the team in a more meaningful way, and having better uptime. Just everyone focuses on blooms.

Well duh, these characters are broken because they do what they do the best.

Pyro is undesireable for its elemental application or as an aura in general (burning/overload grief) outside of vape. XL on top of that has some of the worst energy issues imo. Nahida will always be #1 to me. Pulling for her changed my account in a way no other character has come close to replicating. Don't get me wrong, Furina has been a big help in my continued Abyss dominance, but Nahida's team always picks up the slack. Heck, even when the Alhaitham dies in the third chamber, doesn't matter, because I got Nahida!

Nahida was my very first 5 star on my account. She hard carried me from liyue to fontaine. Just such a cozy character that can clean up in abyss but also be so insanely useful in the open world. She made the early account material farming grind sooooo much easier and also was the team that was always able to breeze thru most upper abyss floors.

I think archons are just that useful in the game. I realised it after I got my first archon which is raiden shogun. I then started to only pull for archons and I did not regret that decision. Of course I sometimes try to get other characters like neuvilette, but archons are the priority, they are just that useful.

I would probably have worded the dendro core section differently, but I see your point. I do think Nahida could have been the poster child for it because her off field 'talent based' dps is quite considerable, especially with quicken uptime! Other than that I think your list is pretty good. I do favor Yelan over Xingqiu in most teams, but most of all I like to run them together. In hyperbloom teams Xingqiu is just better for the increased application and defensive utility, where Yelan's DMG buff is less impactful. I do think Yelan has gotten squeezed a bit between Xingqiu and Furina now. She's basically the midpoint between them now. Thankfully Hydro is so good most people will want to run all three of them across 2 teams in abyss lol.

Thanks for your video. Your list is quite convincing. As I prefer to play with mixed elemental teams, they are often on my team even when they are off the field. Xingling appeared shortly after I entered the game. So it took me a while and some effort to get her. This bonds for life. I love Fischl and her OZ. Yelan is a great character, Nahida added a lot. And I can`t wait to get Furina at her rerun. I often use Yae Miko in addition

Xiangling's big caveat that many people neglected to mention is just how hard it is to build her. Compared to Fish who doesn't need much ER, or Xingqiu/Yelan and Furina who doesn't need EM to start doing things, or Shinobu who only wants EM, Xiangling wants EVERYTHING. She wants ATK%, ER, CR, CD, and EM. Even at 250% ER, she STILL needs particle funneling if she's not with Shogun.

I think that's what makes her easier to build actually She's not very picky with stats Xiangling can take all your emblem artifacts that don't roll crit, like those with too much EM, atk% or ER She can use basically any weapon too

Compare her to Hu Tao, who can be considered done when her HP, EM and crit reaches standards. With Xiangling, you always lack something, be it ATK (which ties her to Bennett), ER, EM, or crits.

@@lazyremnant380 yeah it's true that stacking only EM is no good in fact, stacking only 1 stat is no good But that's the whole point realistically you're more likely to get good pieces for xl than for xq or raiden cuz EM is also a usable stat just because she can use a stat, doesn't mean she desperately needs it though there's not really a strict threshold for crit, atk%, em on xiangling (she also has EM ascension) just make sure you have enough er and stack as much of the rest as you can to give an example, this might be what you're thinking: "ok Raiden is 70/140 with 1.8k atk so xiangling HAS to have the same stats AND with 300em in order to be good" it should be more like "xiangling can get away with way less crit because she can give up some crit for em stats but some crit would still be nice 👍🙂"

Xiangling does have a lower minimal standard compared to Raiden or onfielders, my crappy C6 Xiangling with a 52/112 crit is serviceable enough in 12th floor. I don't know if your statement still applies with a pre-C4 though. The Xiangling everyone praises is always the C6 version because it enables her to get away with less.

Her old teams are just as good as they always were, but now with Fontaine mono pyro is even stronger and now she has multiple teams where she's the applier rather than the dps.

And without xiangling that team wouldn't function properly. She also serves as an applier and sub dps in wriothesley best team where she let's furina and wrio get reactions off. You get my point t. Those teams are actually meta for speedrunning vs what fischl has which is yae (I guess argueble) and then a bunch of teams where she is replacable, whether it's taser, quickbloom or hyperbloom, she is not main slot in any of them and should probably be below xiangling.

​@@putent9623 Not trying to say that Xiangling is bad (I think they are all very good when used where they belong so it is kinda silly to try to say one is better or worse when they do completely different things and aren't played in the same teams), but you are a bit wrong about Fischl. While Yae and Fischl are similar in that they do off-field skill damage, they aren't fulfilling the same roles in the team. Rather, Fischl makes the core of basically all Aggravate teams because her a4 helps maintain an electro aura so that VV can be used and the anemo unit can get aggravated swirls. Her amazing damage in these teams is very nice, but it is in some ways a byproduct of that other function. You are correct that she is 'replaceable' in many other teams, but if it is single target and there are frequent electro reactions she will often be the best choice. As such, I think she is as good and irreplaceable as Xiangling when in her niche, but because there are more diverse needs for electro characters (and actual other options that fill different needs like Kuki, Raiden, Beidou, and Yae) she is not going to be the best electro off-field damage dealer for all situations (whereas Xiangling is basically the only viable option, and thus, best by default). But in general I don't think they should be ordered because it doesn't matter who is the 'best' over all because its not like that means you should put Furina in place of Xiangling on your National team: they are not alternatives for each-other. They each work amazing in the role that they fill.

Yep I agree with Dendro Core: the team only needs one good elemental mastery artifact set and it can hard-carry whatever else you slot in. As for Furina, my experience is limited as I’m still building her artifact set. I’m going to “too high” standards because I want Furina to make as much impact as Dendro Core which is hard when my account has a full Flower of Paradise Lost set.

I love the disclaimer lol. If they have to be off-field damage dealers, I don't think my top 5 would include any 4-stars based on my gameplay experience as I've found all of them, even the beloved xingqiu, completely outclassed by a 5* counterpart in regards to damage, which is the only concrete measurable for our "endgame". defensive utility, especially as minimal as xingqiu, offers feels pointless at this stage of the game and the off-field damage dealers who seem to boost my clear times the most are yelan, nahida, furina, kazuha, and yae--i've never understood why yae is so disliked. people call her 'clunky' but she's so smooth and easy to play, gliding around and repositioning/ manipulating the AI while doing a ton of damage in a big range with perfect consistency. that said, i play on a controller, so my experience could be fairly different from the keyboard warriors, idk. xingqiu is probalby #6 but there's never a scenario where i'm choosing him is when i've got yelan on the other side or just want to play double hydro specifically 🤷‍♂

I get your point about dendro cores, but you forgot to mention the biggest positive of Nahida- her chain reactions through her hold E. This essentially makes even single target DPSes viable options in AOE scenarios. And when this effect is triggered, her ascension passive buffs her own damage. So not only she is buffing your DPS, but herself too, and this effect is very unique in game, because only other effect that is similar to this is Electro-Charged reaction itself. And if we consider her constellations, especially C2, she provides the most unique buff or effect in game- ability to crit dendro reactions like hyperbloom, bloom and burgeon, or shredding enemy's DEF in case of Aggravate/Spread. Having Nahida solves 80% of your dendro needs, but I can't say the same for any other dendro character irrespective of how many/much cores they can produce. Heck you can even use her as a healer with Prototype Amber and she still performs excellently.

replace yaoyao for nahida in neuvillette team, it works way better and you should replace kazuha as well, put fischl or another hydro just for resonance. shielder if not c1. having kazuha i would commit to hypercarry team with fischl shield kazuha. alhaitham doesnt need nahida in hyperbloom teams, you can slot another off field dps there or utility like diona c6, zhongli, etc. if you play hypercarry neuv, you should use al kuki xingqiu nahida.

I didnt think I'd like Furina this much (lost 5050 so was inhaling copium) but got her a few days before banner ended and DAMN! Just having to manage HP makes the game a LOT more fun and revitalizes units I had built but ultimately never really used (Noelle, Jean and Mika, and I'm still hoping someone finds a Dori/Qiqi Furina Team LOL). I agree that investing into good Yelan/Fischl/Furina/Xingqiu is really valuable. However I just hate Xiangling (boring to feed her so MUCH damn ER and hoarding The Catch) so I'll advocate against her. I hope to pull for Albedo next time he reruns and I wonder, is Navia going to be good as an exclusively off-field DPS or does she really want to be onfield? I like how these powerful off-field units (except for Xiangling) don't need batterying/any other units to be paired with, because they make any unit very powerful. You want to play Fréminet? Go off, king, just slot a couple of those units that buff and provide reactions to your favourite onfielder and have fun.

I have most mentioned here, only one missing is nahida (i am using yaoyao for dendro application) My furina is still lvl 50 tho, she is my first archon in my "got to catch all archons" quest. Atm not sure what her team might be cos i am missing good healer for her. I only have barbara, mika, charlote and yaoyao for team heals, rest are onfield only. Might as well put her in nuvi team and sacrifice 1 nuvi element and 3 characters burst buff... I guess i could use noelle as onfield, but dont know for other 2 slots (fishl and kazuha? Water boy and yelan? Cook girl and bennet?)

Hello. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work. I am a newbi and have a general question not entirely related to this video. Why is Deepwood recommended even in a single dendro team comp? I mean deapwood reduces dendro resistence and that is basically to setup for a dendro dps..right? If there is not another dendro damage dealer in the team then what is the point? What am i missing here? Can it be so that dendro res applies even to elemental reactions, for example reduced resistence to bloom/aggrevate etc?

I never pulled for Yelan eventhough I had the primos for her, on both of her last two bannerS, becoz of two main reasons - 1) I already had C6 XQ, and interruption resistance is sooo useful when doing close combat, like sword users that I have a lot and 2) I, to this day, don't have any Pyro DPS, for that amazing Vaporise reactions I could do, XQ works enough for anything Dendro, or Kokomi and even Furina is fine too, for doing all these stuff, moreover making Yelan not worth it for me

I thought about this for a while, and if we're talking strictly meta, then fischl can't even be on the list. While xiangling should. I say this because more meta teams have xiangling than fischl, only that fischl is more flexible. Like for example fischl is best in slot for keqing (not meta), yae miko (you can argue its aggravate meta idk), neuv (neuv is meta but his team with fischl is not, so no), quickbloom teams (again quickbloom is meta but fischl is not best in slot in any of them, so no), hyperbloom (same story), beidou (not meta), I can't lie I'm struggling to think of teams she is crucial in but regardless you get my point. Which teams are xiangling meta on. International, wriothesley teams, lyney teams, arguebly hu tao (hu tao has like 2-3 teams better than hers with xiangling), mono pyro (arguebly not a meta team), ganyu melt (pretty fast or meta for speedrunners), I can't think of any more teams that are in meta that xiangling is crucial but you get my point. Lyney, hu tao, international are non negotiable meta teams. Even if lyney has taken taos spot by a margin, her teams are still good for speedrunning and one of her best ones involve xiangling. So objectively xiangling is more meta than fischl.

Electro charge Neuvillette is a very meta team as far as I'm aware, there's a version that was considered his hyper carry team upon release. Anyways, just thought I'd mention that :D

@@putent9623 International does not stack up well against the newer top meta teams. If you are being so stringent about what's meta, Wriothesley doesn't get counted. Lyney can be included in the meta, but he's not the top of the meta unless you are talking about speedrunning, which is very niche in itself. Hu Tao out does him decisively outside of speed running. Xianlging does not have a place on Hu Tao's teams at all. Fischl is as least as meta as Xiangling if not more so. Quickbloom teams are the best teams in the game right now because they clear essentially every elemental check there is. Fischl Nahida Furina Kuki has as much damage output as Alhaitham Nahida Furina Kuki does. Sure, she is not crucial on any team because she has to compete with Yae Miko, who is simply stronger with enough constellations. Xiangling has no direct competitor. But the strength of the resulting team matters more, and Fischl has more, better teams.

As a user of both C2 nahida and C2 furina. I build my nahida as a on field dps, R3 widsith and with almost 500em. She gets more em with burst and hits like a truck. And same goes for furina but i am using level 1 favonius sword lol. After doing a lot of abyss and overworld stuff. I think nahida is still the best unit in game. I know i know level 1 favonius means furina not reaching her full potential i am thinking about fishing for the pipe weapon of Fontaine as its 2nd besy f2p option after festring desire. But still the gap is a little to big and furina can't close that gap. And if anyone wondering how much dps my furina do, so she hits like 60-80k with kazuha, baizhu and yelan. She hit 150k with Xiangling, kazuha, baizhu. Even then for me nahida is more powerful. My nahida Tri karma hit like 50-60k average and if i have widsith buff like any it increases even more. That's just tri karma and you are not forced to use a team wide healer even though baizhu is still the best for her. If we ignore the furina+neuvillette team then nahida beats almost all the rest of furina teams with a pretty good margin. So yea nahida still the best for me. Maybe because her C2 is more broken. Hyperbloom do like 40k normal and 80k crit and its just continuous you can imagine the damage. Single target bosses get erased in no time.

Level 90, almost perfect artifact's with 53/200 crit ratio with level 1 favonius sword(will replace soon with pipe then crit rate will be +15% means 68). And she crit quite a lot and deals insane DMG no doubt and she in a team with neuvillette beat nahida but if no neuvillette team then the gap is Little to big to close other that neuvillette I think furina, raiden(em), nahida and baizhu team is the 2nd best in my opinion but its nahida vs nahida again and furina still can't beat proper hyperbloom team of nahida. It's not like the difference in strength is too huge or anything. But it is just me as I looked at both and i can say yes nahida is doing more DMG. But again it comes down to individual builds and teams. Some can utilise furina better some can utilise nahida better. For them they have to figure out themselves and make a conclusion but for some they can utilise both and then can draw a conclusion for me I can utilise both to the best. And after that I am saying nahida is better. Her C2 is just better with 30% def reduction and critable bloom. That 30% is way too good nahida at C0 already hits very hard but her C2 just takes it to a different level.

@@Agletgaming Her hyperbloom? The damage of hyperbloom is based on the EM of the electro character that triggered it. An 88k hyperbloom? I've checked the math on that. You would need Baizhu in the party and the electro character on the field to take advantage of Baizhu's and Nahida's passive and the electro character to have nearly 1300 EM (prior to Baizhu/Nahida buffs) and for the opponent to have low dendro resistance. Come on man. Don't try to pass this off as a typical thing that Nahida gets the credit for. Yes, I'm pretty new. But that's not really that relevant. I've seen day 1 players have some really stupid takes. And what do you mean she's stronger than I think if you don't know what I think? You say everyone knows how strong Nahida is but its not like everyone agrees with you because saying she is stronger than Furina is certainly a controversial statement. My own opinion is Nahida is the best character in the game at c0. Furina barely surpasses her at c2. And Furina takes a more solid lead with further constellations on each of them.

I think Albedo probably deserves more justice. He takes less effort to build and does significantly more ticking dmg compared to most others in your top 5 who definitely require time and effort to build. Give him a 4pc husk set with around 120-130 crit dmg and your still doing 20k per hit plus the EM bonus he provides when you use his burst. Don't count him out just because he is a Geo character. Other off-field dps characters such as Yelan and Nahida require a good amount of investment if you want to achieve atleast 20k ticking dmg. Even then, you might be relying on reaction dmg to achieve that.

copium, he does 20k every 2s so 200k = in a 20s rotation, xingqiu with 70/140 does 4.5k per rainsword which hits for 60x in 20s, thats already 270k all the while applying hydro which is way more important than albedo's crystalizes and to hit 20k per tick with albedo you need to be in double geo, if its single geo to hit 20k per tick you gotta have 2.7k def with r5 cinnabar and 170 crit dmg

Double copium, with xingqiu doing that much with the stats provided by you, your doing reaction based dmg. Albedo will require a r5 cinnabar yes. But he does not need high crit dmg. Just be well balanced with the def. You mentioned (2.7k is overkill btw) and you can still 20k dmg without double geo. Idk about your Geo characters but mine are able to achieve these numbers. Else i would not have commented on this to begin with.

Meaning leveling (exp cards, moras, resins), weapon (same), and artefacts will be used on two different unit to enable one.and it's not easy task since every resin spent before Ar45 are technically inefficiently spent. You have to spend in cost effective unit at that time to ease the strength of your account and furina is not a priority i think at this point when you got xingqiu, a 4-star that level with the exact same content you are supposedly exploring and doing you daylies. Such was my point.

xiangling is definitely ssss+ tier. she is the core of the international team, which still dominates the meta in the abyss. she is also the only viable offield pyro dps. she is the only decent off field pyro applicator. she has more and most importantly stronger teams than hu tao or any other character. hu tao only outshines her in non-aoe situations, which happen rarely. yelan is barely comparable to xingqiu. the value his rainswords give, is just sooo much more valuable than the added dmg from yelan. interruption resistance and dmg reduction are the 2 most valuable assets of a support in the current abyss.. besides the hydro application of course, which he also applies more of. not getting thrown around and not dying usually results in faster clear times right now. fischl is the strongest electro character in this game and the fastest elemental applicator. the only thing holder her back, is the scaling of transformative reactions, which applies to almost every character thats not used in vape or melt. every kind of support for transformative reactions, raises her value more than the value of any other character. chevreuse will be a good example of that, when she comes out.

The Bloom choice is a smart one. My question: If Fischl is so good, why is she so little used in Spiral Abyss among those who can 36 star? Why is Yae used so much more than Fischl (and not by usage percentage, by absolute numbers). I take it this top 5 list is not determined by value but by power? Or is Fischl's four star status the reason why she is on this list? But I would put Nahida ahead of either Fischl or Yae.

People just underrate fischl. Yae mikos best team at c0 uses fischl. I’m not sure yae is used more than fischl by absolute numbers, but it’s likely also skewed by people who have cons of yae or just dedicated mains in general. The list is assuming c0 which I should have stated

I always found Yae's ability to delete a wave of annoying mob enemies in abyss using her aggravated burst one of the things that she's capable over Fischl. I used to pair her with Fischl too but when I started maining Alhaitham spread, I ended up picking Yae as my off-fielder over Fischl. Because Spread is not an electro reaction and would trigger Fischl's A4 passive less (since she can only proc it with her own Aggravate). Granted, by not using Yae with Fischl, she uses her burst less but she's not the main damage dealer so I don't need them every time off cooldown, just when I want things to die faster. I think the problem with Fischl usage is Aggravate and Taser teams being a less popular option.

The teams that Yae excels in are prevalent in this Abyss (Tighnari spread and Al-Haitham spread are #3 and #5 most used, primarily for friendly bottom half). Whereas the teams that Fischl excels in (aggravate, taser) are less used for whatever reason. Perhaps accounts with heavy investment lean towards the teams that reward that heavy investment (i.e. those spread teams), whereas F2P/lower investment accounts would rather use something easier like hyperbloom to solve the boss side, which indirectly reduces Fischl usage.

Nice to see Furina actually being rated correctly. So many CCs are tiptoeing around saying how absolutely account changing she really is. One thing I will say is I think she probably won't be as good for fresh accounts. As a new player I really prioritized my supports first Xq Benny Xiangling Sucrose Fischl Yelan Furina Jean Yaoyao Rosaria All 80/90 with atleast lvl8 priority talents And only wanderer as my main dps 😂 with his team faruzan and thoma Struggling in abyss since they all supports 😂 not good artifacts 😂 Still looking for a main dps to pull so kinda looking forward to getting raiden But all in all, very satisfied that i did build my supports first so that adjustments is easy

Ik I also focused in building 2 teams at first wanderer hypercarry and yelan national but after building them i dont know what to do next, im not in the mood to waste my resources in artifact farming so what i did is i build other characters that will/might be useful for me in the future I even get furina coz i kinda want her 😂 Then i noticed that they are all supports and now im lacking main dps as i play the abyss 😂😂 and also the actual reason i build the national team coz its flexible and almost every dps can fit into them I started trying out the abyss when fontaine came out and i was able to perfect star till floor 11 with mostly 60/70 and 70/80 characters that time And now that they're mostly 80/90, 70/80 with lvl8 talents its now easy to perfect till floor11 and i was able to actually finish the abyss since the second phase of 4.1 , no stars in floor12 ofcourse 🤣🤣 But as of now, getting a star is still as difficult in floor 12, shit is built different 🤣🤣🤣 so ye maybe getting an actual dps might change it to atleast getting 2 stars 🤣 most stars i got 29 and 30 only 1 star per chamber🤣 Wanderer hypercarry still And furina mono hydro are my teams now ❤️

Although Furina is a great character, she's not that good as an off-field DPS. She's good, but she needs to have a healer on the team for her damage to be very-very high (it's high without a healer, but lower than Yelan 's, for example). Additionally, her application is not that great because of its inconsistency. I would say that without her buff she's in most scenarios worse than Xingqiu, Yelan, Dendro core, maybe even worse (I'm not sure about that, but maybe) than Fischl and Xiangling. So she's more of a buffer than an off-field DPS because if you need an off-field DPS, there are plenty of better or similar options, but if you need a buffer, she's arguably the best buffer in the game. In conclusion, Furina - definitely not the best off-field DPS, but probably the best buffer, and a great hybrid of those two things, which makes her so good and flexible.
