As I really didn't know who Jelly Roll was, he was in concert here so researched I found his music very international so we spent the money to go. Was having a great time until the guys 2 rows from us lit up a joint. The CHI Center in Omaha NE refused to do anything about it and we had to leave because I am a recovering adict we had to leave. JELL Roll was on stage promoting it. I totally lost all respect for a man that was just promoting sobriety could promote an addiction. It brings tears to eyes not because of the song, it is how fake Jelly Roll is. Total disappointment that people don't see right through his crap. His story mean nothing to me now.

Stories like Jelly’s need to be told to the world to remind people no matter how bad things are people can completely turn there lives around. Ol Jelly is a huge inspiration to so many of the black sheep, the outsiders, the ones that family and society are ashamed of like me and possibly even u bubba. Man i was a true piece of shit back in the day and still am… but now im just a smaller piece of shit lol. I was locked up multiple times but one time really stands out. I was pissed because I wanted to watch the Steelers but they wanted to watch a Tyler Perry movie or some bull shit so I layed down with my shirt wrapped around my head trying to go to sleep, all I could hear was that BS on the tv and BAM they started slamming dominoes, I was ready to get 25 to life added on to my bid. Then I heard Cool water on my radio then Alone and forsaken by Hank Sr back to back and that shit changed my life. I realized music allowed me to mentally escape any situation I was in. When I got out i ran in to my cousin and he wouldn’t talk to me, he eventually told me that I had snapped on him for no reason (I was doped up) back in the day and put a blad# to his throat.. i balled like a baby. I still don’t remember doing that but after hearing other similar stories about awful things i had done I knew he was telling the truth and I couldn’t go back to the hard drugs, live fast and die young lifestyle. I remembered doing some unforgivable things but damn what all had I done that I cant even remember!? Shit scared me so bad i knew I had to change and ask for forgiveness. I’ve been sober for 12 years for the most part, been married for 16 years and have a 12 year old daughter that only knows me for the man I am now instead of the screw up I was back then. No matter how bad things seem never give up, the depth of rock bottom keeps changing as you get older and experience more heart ache and dark times.. u just have to keep fighting. Sorry about the book I just wrote man, I couldn’t stop putting my thoughts in to words. Take care and God bless u brother

Good morning Dawn. That' a beautiful way to start a day. Dawn, I will, gladly pray for you. And please smile. Love ya. Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. I would like to share some songs with you, perhaps you've heard them, or maybe not I believe to sing is one of our greatest gifts here on earth and forever after. Respectfully, 1. In Jesus Name by Katie Nichole 2. Better than Me by Riley Green and Randy Houser 3. 4. Proud Souls by Jason Boland and the Stragglers 5. Cancer By Tom Mac Donald 6. Dear Mom by Dax 7. Do You Hear What I Hear? This song was written during the Cuban Missile Crisis because of the overwhelming dread people felt. Husband and Wife, Noël Regney and Gloria Shayne Baker were reluctant to release it because of all the commercialism surrounding Christmas Day. But they did it anyway. Many beautiful artists have performed it. But on the day JFK was killed, Bing Crosby recorded his version, which I believe is the best version and best songs ever pefgormed in history. 9. Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamon 10. Georgia on By Mind- Ray Charles 11. Oh Mother of Mine by The Temptations 12. My Way by Frank Sinatra 13. You're the Inspiration by Chicago 14. Dear Alcohol by Dax- there are 3 versions of this song, the original, a remix (Video only KZbin) where Dax challenged his fans to do a minute of their own version. Countless people responded and Dax selected 25 performers and made it an 18:30 song. It's a first in music and it's intent is beautiful. A third version with Elle King. Still Searching For A Reason is another great song among others. 15. Cotton Fields by Creedence Clearwater Revival 16. The Star Spangled Banner performed by Whitney Houston during 1990 Super Bowl and to me her version and Smoky Robinson's version for Super Bowl in 85 or 86. 17. Old Time Rock & Roll by Bob We get 19. God Bless America by Ronan Tynan performed after 9/11 in Yankee Stadium during 7th Inning stretch. 20. Let Your Love Flow by The Bellamy Brothers Have a beautiful day Dawn!!! Smile and sing all day!!! I will too. And may God continue to bless you and castaway your sadness forever.

What a beautiful song. Those two are connected. Made me cry. Craig is a wonderful performer and mentor. Best wishes to Jelly Roll, you have a true gift and I hope it takes you far. To hear you say you sat in the audience and cried like a baby, well those are words few men will ever say out loud. Best wishes, a fan in NY !

I have to second that cause I couldn't say it better. I'm 66 and these two have chill's running on me this whole song. Both these men and their families and the teams they help make it possible deserve all the Love we can help on them. To stand there and honor GOD Almighty in a time when that is frowned on and discouraged is very humbling indeed. Very Best Wishes to All of Them!

I have to say I don't listen to her very much cause I'm always listening to much older country like Merle Haggard, Hank Waylon and Jones but this is one of the best halftime shows I've ever seen. Part of it brought a tear to my eye. God Bless Texas 🎉
