@VMATT500C, I wouldn't say it is harsh or busy. The Sport, with the larger wheels and the sports tuned suspension is firmer than the regular model. However, it does not have the wobbly feeling previous generations did. For a sports package, it rode well and carried 4-6 people with mostly positive feedback.

This is a tough one. The Explorer is probably better on long hauls because of the wider seating area and more cargo capacity. Very different price points depending on the features you are looking for too.

@MacMike1000, thanks for the comment. I guess that is the funny thing...combined experience with typography, type setting and on screen visual presentation in the Real Auto Report family totals over 50 years. The font is the chosen brand font, but there is always room for change.

Thanks for a great review. One question: if you had to take a cross-country trip, would you select this 2013 Ford Explorer Sport or the 2013 Ford Escape? Wondering which would be more comfortable for long trips as I have read some negative comments about the Escape's seats.

Question for the owners, I just changed my BMW X6 to a Ford Explorer Sport ecoboost 2015 and my consumption is way to much compared to what they claim. I'm quiet disappointed, I get around 25l/100km while i was getting 17l to 18l/100km with the same driving in my X6. I have around 200KM on it now, and i'm telling you, It's sucks the GAS. It's far away from what they claim 14.9l/100km my ass. What do you guys get for the consumtion ? I heard some saying that the consumption should stabilize after 8000 km. How true their saying ?

Being an SUV sport I figure I wouldn't need great handling. It's top heavy as is, corner to hard in any SUV and you'll notice handling issues.
