WELL-DESERVED award! UNIQUE voice. Sweet flawless renditions coupled with good diction. Out of the TOTAL ~35-40 songs in Jency's entire career, she was given 30 (ALL EVERGREEN SUPERHITS) by MAESTRO ILAYARAJA for which she is eternally thankful to him even today. OTHER music directors did not utilize her, or the few ones that did never gave her such ICONIC songs! She was fortunate that she came in the late 70s / 80s, and NOT in the 90s / millennium where voices were used ONLY for "freshness" (for the sake of generating "trending hits"), and later discarded.

My guess is AA is quite monotonous, though an excellent singer. Only IR and Srinivas gave her 1 song each (I think). OR, maybe her father thought stage performances gave them a steady income rather than the fickle career of playback singing.
