Thank you doctor for this video. I have tried almost everything to look younger + delay aging as much as possible, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight), home devices and what not. However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for around 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm 18 again, but definitely not 44 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less are nonexist (Never had jowls though). People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.

+1 for kora. I started doing microneedIIing since it started 12 or so years ago. Nobody believe I am 55. They all say I am in my late 30's or early 40's. But the major impact on my skin and my body is I don’t eat SUGAR in any form! This alone has stopped the aging process on my skin. I stopped eating sugar 5 years ago. My friends that I don’t see often say that I don’t age and actually look young as time passes! If you have arthritis you will find less pain if you stop eating sugar for a month . Sugar consumption spikes inflammation in our bodies. Even too much fruit is sugar. Choose berries as a low sugar choice and eat avocados every day too as it’s a healthy fat that good for hair, skin, and nails !

@@user-sf7ve9fm2t I broiled the tendon same way with the bone to clean it up. Then I cook it with water cover, boil then low heat. Clean the foam on top periodically. Then I take it out to cool and cut into bite size. Voila! Proceed to cook it to soften at your liking. The soup is thick and gelatinous. The tendon is soft and yummy. Genetics play a huge role. Just look at African women's skin. They have oily skin and few wrinkles as they age ( unless they have a job in the sun, like a farmer). I am of Italian descent and have oily skin. I have shaved my face daily since 15. I am 75 and my doctor says I look 45. I eat whole foods, take vitamins and supplements, and never smoked and drink rarely. I do get 9 hours sleep on average. I weigh 41 kg and am 5' tall. I exercise two to three hours a day, both cardio and weights and walking. I never used sunscreen until age 62. I know I should have used it all the time. I do not intermittent fast but because I exercise a lot, I eat whatever and whenever I want but I avoid processed foods. If I fasted 12 hours, I would faint. I have great muscle definition from a lifetime of exercise. I hydrate a lot, drinking plain roselle tea from dried hibiscus flowers. I drink it with powdered ginger or fresh ginger. It boils down to energy in and energy out, I am a retired scientist. When I hit menopause, I exercised MORE so I would not get fat.
@LuluuBueno9 ай бұрын

Back when I was in nursing school I read a book that mentioned the importance of excreting cellular waste. This is hardly ever mentioned by any doctor especially plastic surgeons or dermatologists, yet I believe it is the key to success when it comes to anti-aging. How is it done? First get rid of the bad, then add the good. What’s the bad? Anything that causes acidity like stress, dairy, meats, nitrates, excessive protein, strenuous exercise, etc. What’s the good? Anything that balances your chemistry like meditation, moderate exercise, lots of plants in your diet especially all foods that contain seeds (fruits).

By this logic, vegetarians must be the healthiest people, but they are not. Some suffer badly due to lack of protein. I don't believe meat causes aging. Dirty meat mixed with bad stuffs then yes.
@pamellaarias8 ай бұрын
@@LoveLife-oo9czno one said to avoid protein. Avoid it in excess, especially the red meats because they are hard on your kidneys, which are your elimination organs along with your skin. Also note that fruits have protein too, and the reason some vegetarians get sick is because of lack of sufficient proteins and B12 vitamins which is found in red meats. So once a week red meat would be enough or even better if you eat it as a beef stew with veggies and collagen broth. I personally have found that following the American cancer society’s diet guidelines which recommends a lot of fruits and veggies has been better for me…I just need to quit stressing and drinking.

(And of course the connection to God for us that are religious) Your body starts to reset. I am a witness of this. This is why in the first days breath gets worse even more for those that don't eat well prior to fasting, toxins also comes out from your mouth/tongue. I have noticed as I started eating healthy, my breath is not so bad the first days of fasting, it shows that healthy eating has it's effect in many was and also fasting

With regards to Scurvy, it's worth noting that the disorder only affected the common sailors, not the officers. The officers had dried meat to eat, while the men had Ship's Biscuit which contained no meat. A high meat diet reduces the requirement for vitamin C while a diet high in carbohydrate increases it. This is because carbs attatch to the same receptors in the body as vitamin C thus reducing the absorption of this essential nutrient. Vitamin C is also present in meat which comes as news to many people. Our strong and hardy ancestors evolved survived and thrived eating mostly meat, the current food pyramid is basically upside down.

I am so happy to have been educated otherwise and I never leave home- year round- without sunscreen. Less sugar has helped me drop pounds without trying but I didn’t know what part it played in the health of my skin

For anyone having trouble with the fasting part I recommend seltzer, especially if you can find the ones with about a tea's worth of caffeine, like Bubly or Aha. It's more satiating than just water and makes it very easy to skip breakfast because they have just enough flavor to make you feel like you've 'had' something, and the carbonation adds volume when it foams in your stomach. I also use kratom to curb appetite but some health practitioners may advise against, as the research is still coming in. In any case I've maintained roughly the same weight my whole adult life.

I have to say I had an eating disorder and doing Body for Life 5 small meals a day and 6 days of cardio and weights small amounts too was the absolute best thing for me . I was in the best shape ever I ate an egg and handful of corn for a meal then 2-3 hours later had a small salad with chicken on it then had a small protein bar I made my calories eat less and felt amazing I tend towards low blood sugar if I eat heavy and I also tend towards fight or flight when I don’t eat I feel like I’m triggered my anxiety when I’m not eating I do think some fasting is okay but this method of small controlled portions based on my hand or fist ( stomach size) during college years they saved me from myself and helped me eat healthier and feel absolutely balanced and amazing I think both can be right depends on the person you can’t tell an 80 year old to not eat for 16 hours it’s not healthy for their brain they won’t eat enough nutrition or fat if they do this they barely have appetites and people with PTsd and anxiety don’t want to be in survival mode first in the mornjfn, kids also need Brain food prior to school. You have to seriously consider these things lol. Not all people apply. People aged 20-65 who need to lose some weight sure /. Underweight cancer patients also need nutrition this just isn’t good for every type of person in my opinion( I’m an acupuncturist I have a medical degree I’m not saying I’m a genius but I have a background enough to have this idea that this fasting isn’t always good) go to bed early with a cup of soup at 6pm sure… that’s where the benefits are. At evening time. Eat light .. carbs do make you pee at night. So maybe eat early and go to bed .. and of course get rid of all that sugar.. but if it’s the birthday party have a slice bc life is also about some joy

It would depend on your dosha ( bodymind constitution) that would determine how your body digests and metabolizes, and the types of foods that produce most balance and rejuvenation in your body. By the way be aware of that conventionally grown California wine contains Round up. The rows between the bushes are sprayed with round up unless it is a biodynamically grown wine or wine from a small grower. Neighboring wineries might be spraying and it gets on the organic wines as well since it is sprayed by airplanes. Imported wines may be safer.

I prefer taking collagen in a capsule. Does this make it less effective?
@larsnystrom66989 ай бұрын
@mariacardenas3077 Taking collagen in capsules is ineffective just because you don't take enough of it that way. I'm pretty sure you don't take 15 or so capsules with it. The reason for capsules is of course that hydrolyzed collagen tastes badly. So, find ways to mix collagen powder which hides the taste, and take about 10 g of it during the day. I'm using two methods of hiding the taste. A Collagen brew: Green tea. Elderberry, about 2 g. Glycine, about 2 g, as a sweetener, and because we need more of it. Other ways: Mix collagen into Greek yogurt. Mix collagen into whey protein. You get the idea. Many seems to think you shouldn't take collagen together with other proteins, because the amino acids compeat with the same transporters. I ignore that with the hypothesis that the body eventually absorbed all the protein you eat. By the way, you need more glyc8ne than you get from just a reasonable amount of collagen. So it's a good idea to supplement with that too. As a powder, of course. I use it as my only sweetener, about 10 g a day.

Learned back in the early 1980’s, when you are not eating (digesting) your body automatically starts cleaning out the body through inner skin, outer skin, kidneys, lungs, bowels, through urine, etc - normal. The body wants to keep clean, but often to tired to initiate a cleaning unless fasting and resting. So when we get a flu, is it from a virus or your body eliminating cellular waste.
