My car was stolen once. On my birthday no less. Rode the bus to and from work for a week. Then one day walking from the bus stop to my apartment complex I saw it parked in another apartment complex on the very same street. I had a spare key on me, so I got in and drove it home. It had been washed and detailed. Only thing I really lost from the ordeal was a Pearl Jam CD. I told the cops they could consider the car case solved.

Best of all, the thieves can't do jack about it. What're they going to do? Call the cops and claim the car they stole was stolen and now they're out the money they put into cleaning it? I'd love to have seen the look on their face when they came out to find it gone.

As a lifelong NYer, “The Subway” might be my favorite lesser known episode of Seinfeld. It’s so true to the subway experience. The buskers, the weirdos you avoid eye contact with, the rush to get a seat, delay rage (like Elaine) and-of course-the fear of meeting a psycho. It’s just great.
@cwcm1985Күн бұрын
NJ born, FL living, I avoid the subway any trip up there, mainly bc it's confusing. Plus I rather see everything since I'm there for a week. But if I lived there I'd know the subway back and forward. Lol.

Congrats Jen you've reached the cross-over point for the show - these 2 are classics. RE: The SUBWAY - the race Kramer bets on is 30 to 1 odds @ his bet of $600.00 -parlaying into an $1,800.00 payout! Michael Richards' physical comedy is hilarious trying to get a seat on the train. Elaine saying 'MOTHERFUCKER!!!' (albeit bleeped) is beyond hysterical (and if I'm not mistaken the stinky dude next to her on the train is one of the writers of the show). The NYC subway began in 1904 - luckily in the nearly 40 yrs of riding it I've only had 2 unfortunate trips (i.e. re-routing while en route - the last happened last fall).

I used to ride the Toronto subway. I used to live at Keele and Finch. I would drive to York dale mall because it was free to park there, then board the station there. I preferred this to driving into the downtown because the parking there is nightmarish. I thought it was a good subway system and safer than the New York subway, where I hear there are people getting pushed onto the tracks these days.

@sirjohnmara Touché 👀 Also I think it still qualifies as income as it’s money ‘coming in’ but I think if it’s below a certain amount they don’t collect on it. Just like taxes if you make below 16k or whatever the threshold is then you just have the one form instead of actually filing. I don’t know if that’s accurate though so don’t quote me, but if it’s more than the tax bracket I think he still owes on it. 🤔

Yay, I'm always excited for more Seinfeld! Once you finish it, Curb Your Enthusiasm could be a fun replacement show. It has that same relatability to everyday situations and social faux pas that Seinfeld has. Larry David is great, and lot of times they'll just casually throw in super recognizable actors so you're like, "Oh hey, it's THAT guy!" Elaine's actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays herself in a S1 episode.
