okay, just to clarify i'm not hating on craig ferguson. wierd doesn't always mean bad. i haven't seen much of his work, but from what i _have_ seen, he has a unique comedic style, which isn't necessarily a negative. also i wasn't aware he was in a band with peter capaldi but that doesn't change the fact i think he's a bit eccentric. dont get me wrong he seems like a nice guy, but that clip with jenna was... ｉｎｔｅｒｅｓｔｉｎｇ. not really my type of humour and felt a bit off. sorry if i offended any craig stans... whoops. edit: i've seen some more of his work, and he's growing on me. craig defending britney spears during a time when nobody would was brave and i commend him for that!

Here's the thing - please don't hate, open your mind here - I think that the *writing* for Clara was a bit off. She started as a mystery for the Doctor to solve, then became his buddy and sort of caretaker... But then I feel like the writers ran out of ideas for what to do with her, and I didn't like either of her endings from a story perspective much. I think a big part of that is to do with Jenna's innate adorableness and her audience appeal putting the writers in the awkward spot of not being able to write Clara out once her arc was over.
