I used blush in 2016 it was just not a bubble gum pink
@Zzz2x8 ай бұрын
I was surprised that wasn’t mentioned. It’s one of the biggest differences, especially due to filters. She showcased it perfectly here, just didn’t add it in I used a lot of blush on my cheekbones in 2014-2016 tho but not a lot of people wore makeup back then. I was like 14-16. Just loved makeup and had the energy and time back then. I do remember not a lot of people using blush like I did. But because I had acne, I used full coverage foundation, I was told by makeup artists that I would need to use blush and contour to add color back in. So I always did, gray base too. I’m so thankful for those women who taught me when I was young!! I always received compliments on my complexion yet I had acne. My skin looked flawless and covered, but bumps were there. Texture is normal, and id rather have had my face beat and covered

I'm a ginger, so you can barely see my brows on a good day. Juinor year (2005-2006ish), I decided to tweeze my poor little eyebrows until they were teeny tiny. Like, maybe 3 browhairs thick. Plus, I wore black eyeliner like I was a long lost member of My Chemical Romance (I wish!). It's painful looking back at pictures from that time period! I had chubby cheeks, so thin eyebrows did NOT do me any favors lol. I'm really lucky they came back at all, but especially in time for senior pics.

I'd pick that out of matte any day . Never liked matte and to Me dewy is just nice clean moisturised skin. I've never ever seen any foundation or make up that makes skin look greasy only over matified and thick. It's just opinion in the end whatever is trendy. I think a lot of people who oily skin are afraid of moisturiser and then they end up drying their skin out because they hate the oil but it ends in oily and dry damaged skin.

Me with 2016 brows and 2023 blush: 😂😂

Omg these are the 2 parts of my brain battling while trying to do makeup on my friends; my past 2016 knowledge vs the newer trends, and 2023 completely throwing the old “how-to” book out the window 😂

I usually just laugh at those, because I didn't really have the patience or the money to follow makeup trends back then. Unfortunately for me, I had started working by the time the "bold" brows were in. And there are pictures to remind me 😭😂😂😂
