My 9-5 is in tech, and one thing that helps me set good work-life boundaries is remembering that it’s my job to get done what I can in 40 hours a week, working at a reasonable pace, communicating my project status, scope, expectations, and limitations regularly. My job is *not* responding to every message or email within 15 minutes or even completing everything that is asked of me, because that would mean I’m not prioritizing my work. I love the mantra “your BEST is what you can accomplish while prioritizing your mental, emotional, and physical health, not what you can get done when you disregard it”.

Omg okay 1. Beast is the cutest and 2. I loved the work chat about boundaries at the end! I would add: if your boundaries aren’t respected, it’s time to walk away. I had to learn that one the hard way but it made me value working with good people and work/life balance that much more!

I would only consider a part time thing if it wasn’t corporate, I feel like working full time in corporate is the only way I can really grow in the accounting / advisory industry. If I did part time it would be for like pursuing something different like coaching at OTF or something 🥹 who knows. Until then I’m def 100% full time both but leaning into more grace for KZbin and not over pushing myself

I know I say this in every comment, but I really enjoyed this vlog. 😆 I also wanted to be a full-time content creator after college, but after some discernment, I decided it wasn’t sustainable for me. I always thought I’d eventually be a full-time content creator. Then, a couple of months ago, I had a serious discussion with my boss about my career growth, and it was there I realized I enjoy having a 9-5 job and blogging. Who knows what the future holds, though! I also enjoyed your reaction to your new running glasses. 😂 I’m also obsessed with wanting a pair of “baseball glasses” (that’s what I call them), but I haven’t found THE ONE yet. You look great in yours, though!
