I used a paint sprayer indoors and got overspray on my cabinet, tv, computer, desk, floor lamp. It was a mess. I thought 8 feet of covering would be sufficient but no. Love the reno videos. Can’t wait for the next one!!

I live in the mountains at 8500 elevation with an incredible view of very, very high mountain ranges. Besides snow covered peaks, our sunsets are also amazing, which is part of the reason I moved here. I get it!!

Hi Jenna, It's shaping up beautifully. I think I would have taped off the window frames and hand painted them. Did you think about doing that? Maybe there was a good reason not to do it that way.

I thought the same. I wasn't sure that spray painting maybe was preferred but I thought it seemed like a lot more work than just using a paint brush. Our home was built around this time and we now have to replace the deck door/windows (over $16,000, ugh) I wanted black but the other windows are framed with a vinyl light beige and I never thought about painting them so we ordered the color that would match the other windows, I guess my other question.... was she going to do all the windows in the entire house like that?

Awesome achievement painting all those window frames. Not to mention all the filling and sanding on the drywall. You should congratulate yourselves on your wonderful work ethics as well as the beautiful results.

The black windows turned out so well! I tried spray painting one of my chandeliers indoors several years ago and it was an absolute mess. Can’t wait to see further progress. I hope your move in is smooth and you take time to enjoy your new space. ❤

I’m pretty sure I’ve commented before that my hubs and I bought our home because of the view, and I can guarantee you, you will never tire of that view! Especially too, if the storms come in or go out from that direction! Gorgeous. The house is looking great!

I think because they are metal/aluminum I didn’t know if a brush application would be as durable? It could have worked! I just had only seen spray paint be recommended by professionals so that’s what we wanted to do but maybe if there’s a more durable brush paint that could work?

The windows look awesome because they do frame such a spectacular view and once you are able to put in doors to replace the one window, Wow that will really make a statement! Look great. If you spray paint again, there is a hand held sprayer that fits on any spray can that is so much easier to use than your finger. No hand fatigue

For the windows, my painter suggested to use marine paint. He just use a brush and it looks fine.

Wow! Again, everything looks so good, Jenna! That sunset is going to be even more amazing when you have the slider door installed! I’m going to be doing the same thing (replace a window and single French door) with a slider, so can’t wait to learn from your experience.
