I was at GIT in the 80's, and Jennifer was often there. Make no mistake... she was as accomplished on guitar as the other guitar masters at that time. This is a wonderful interview. I love hearing how excited she was about Jeff Beck.

'88. Jennifer had graduated prior, gone on tour, and was back teaching. Still had the building on Hollywood Blvd, and the new building was also up and running.

What a fantastic interview!!! Kids today have no idea how fortunate they are regarding gear. I remember when I started playing guitar, I had a record player, guitar, amp and a distortion pedal. No tabs, videos, tools to slow down the music, etc. I had to learn by ear. And I'm not that old...

kurt singer I totally agree with your comment about how lucky today's budding musicians are with all these tools at their bidding. My learning journey started around early 1977 pretty much the same way as yours.

The fans would've wanted jennifer not Orianthi and MJ was annoyed by orianthis guitar playing I saw it on the this is it movie lol he's used to Jennifer's skills lol
