I'm a die hard Jennifer Lawrence fan... mother! may not be my kind of movie but the only thing that kept me watching the movie was her performance... She has a beautiful face for screen you could watch her for hours on end... She was so raw, so transparent... I have no words to describe her work in this movie... Her work goes onto show that you don't have to scream at the top of your lungs or go through a drastic change in your appearance in order to make an impact and deliver a phenomenal performance.… Even if not a win I hope she gets nominated because she absolutely deserves it....

Actions speak louder than words. Why did she have to go along with Harvey Weinstein so he can get her in movies?
@nothingsuitsmelikeasuit44017 жыл бұрын
riri r there are no actions or words in this matter. She already spoke out against the guy when all the allegations were revealed. She worked with him in one film. That after the director cast her. It wasn't even Harvey's decision. Google is your friend. Try to use it before commenting.

When I worked in the Hunger Games.I remember her gossiping about how Harvey was a devious human being and that she loved him for it.
@nothingsuitsmelikeasuit44017 жыл бұрын
Francisco Vazquez actually she just said in an interview yesterday that she had a nice relationship with him when they worked on silver linings, almost paternal. She knew he was a dog as she described it and even called him out for it when he was being controling saying he was a sadistic monster. She felt that she kept a respectful relationship bc she can put him in his place if she has to. But in her case this never translated into a sexual abuse or advance from his part. She heard rumors he was a mad person but not a rapist. Many people admired his sense of business and movie taste and choices when dealing with his films. But sadly, he was just a shitty human being at the end despite all the success and saviness.
@Saints20247 жыл бұрын
After the shit hit the fan. What I'm talking about was back in 2014 winter on set when she was praising Weinstein being a horrible human and that she loved him for it. He was trying to get her to do another movie where the lead was already cast, but was willing to fire the actor and change the gender of the lead to have her star in it. She was spilling this shit with Director Francis Lawrence in front of the extras while they were setting up the bunker scene. Trust me. All these people including these actresses in this video are two faces. They just only let you see their hollywood righteous side.

I can relate. It's not easy for women to be treated fairly in any workforce. Especially when it's a male dominant environment. I work in the warehouse industry so of course it's majority males. I went through being sexually harassed by a guy named Earl while I was working for Witron Logistics in Atlanta. I reported it to HR, which he was supposed to be suspended for two weeks for an investigation, because this was not the complaint on him. I was reluctant to do so, because we were supposed to be friends until the harassment started. During the so called investigation I went through more than anyone should have to go through for speaking up for themselves at work. The investigation was really ways to find a way to fire me instead. From intervening with my production, interviewing all of the coworkers that were friends of his, not interviewing any of the witnesses I named, gave me a write up, then firing me for missing one day of work due to a car accident. Even though I never call in, and work on my off days. The investigation wound up taking three weeks instead, because they had to come up with a reason to fire me, instead of him. This is just the short version of everything I went through with everything getting worse as time went on throughout the investigation, and my termination. So I understand the fear you felt before and after standing up for yourself. To add insult to injury he was demoded forklift operator, which I was, but they raised the pay for forklift operators to more than what he was making as a manager. So he was really rewarded for his misconduct.

Like she said it's not just an Hollywood issue it's a social issue and she's right things are not going to change until we are equal on every level just because they are paid millions doesn't mean they are treated correctly and the proof is the Weinstein scandal women in Hollywood get rape too by an abuse of power from men and that scandal opened a world discussion on the subject which is a good thing women are finally saying this is not ok and people are listening. I remember talking about the case with my coworkers all of us agreeing that it was horrible and the only person who laughed and said that all these women where trying to get attention was the only one whose ever had an inappropriate behavior with us. We are a team of mostly young women in our 20s and even if he is more than twice our age and could be our father he keeps touching us and make inappropriate jokes and when we tried to talk about it the answer was he is just a very tactile person don't worry we know him it's just jokes and i don't want it to be ok or normal if it makes me uncomfortable if people are finally talking about it because of some rich Hollywood actors i'm fine with it.

From the start, she says "The only reason why there is so much focus on the entertainment industry is because they are famous". First, that is arrogant, second is because these "famous" people are the first to go around pointing their fingers and condemning people for their faults and actions and preaching about how we should all act, and how we should think and be more progressive and empower women, vote for a woman simply because she is a woman, etc. Why the focus is on these "famous" people is because their hypocrisy is showing clearer than ever before. Jennifer, don't give any excuse about these people just because you are apart of the machine.

I'm tired of all the people who look for the least in Jennifer Lawrence to criticize her (or another famous woman). Seriously, they look for the least her say they even change their words to make them sound worse or give them another context. Worse is that they invent things without any evidence like when they said that she had been Chris Pratt's mistress and that she was to blame for her divorce. Remember, NO ONE IS PERFECT. I appreciate her because she is honest and a very good actress despite her young age, although there are people who do not recognize, what I do not understand. For all the people who say she owe her fame to Weinstein: find out why she was famous for her two franchises and she was also nominated and awarded for her independent films, even for an Oscar before meeting Weinstein for Silver lining playbook. You do not have to like Jennifer, but talking shit about her and slandering her is not fair to this talented actress. THIS WORLD IS SHIT SO YOU MUST GIVE LOVE AND TOLERANCE. We don´t need more shit
