What she meant was: we never really spoke and met “properly.” They’ve run into each other in passing and “met” casually. But they never “met” met. And Mariah confirmed that when she was on his show, too; she said something like “if we had never had a full blown conversation, then I don’t know you” and something about how it was just “hi’s” when they did meet. So to sum up: they DID NOT meet properly. But they have met, in passing.

Jayvon he kept stealing Mariah's work and give it to JLo. Two instances that I know of: 1) for Mariah's song Loverboy, Mariah initially intended to sample yellow magic orchestras firecracker. When Tommy heard that, he quickly took the sample and incorporated it into I'm Real. As I'm Real was released in 2000 before Loverboy being released in 2001, Mariah had to quickly change the sample to Cameos Candy 2) when Tommy heard "If We", a song from Mariah's Glitter soundtrack, featuring Ja Rule, he contacted the songs producer Irv Gotty and told him to produce a remix of I'm Real featuring Ja Rule that would sound similar. If you listen to If We and the I'm Real (remix) and later Ain't I funny (remix) (also produced by Irv Gotty), you'll hear that they sound very similar to If We. This is many years ago, but it's stuck with Mariah.

Look, it's not Jennifer, herself. It was the man behind Jennifer, Tommy Mottola. He's the one that started all of that unnecessary drama to ruin Mariah's career. As the years go by, more and more sabotage tea is spilled by people involved in the situation. Notice that Mariah was smooth sailing while she was married to Tommy. Trust me, I’ve never been a fan of hers as a singer and not that much either as an actress even though I like some of her movies and acting but I’ve to admit that she’s really nice to hear to when being interviewed, she seems so down to earth and maybe her best acting role to me, is when she plays the class act when asked about other stars. I love how she answered to the so expected question about the Mariah-J. Lo feud. Even is she doesn’t feels it (I guess she does but...) but it’s nice and smart to hear her talk positively about someone who’s always been so mean on you. She was even nice enough to give Mariah an easy exit card when saying that maybe because of things she’s read that happened in the past that she wasn’t even aware of. Like, you know, elk if she hates me because she thinks her ex stole”her” ideas to a couple songs, gave them to me, she flopped and I had hit records with them, ok, I get you, but that was long ago, I wasn’t aware/involved on those things. And then even say she loves Mariah’s My All. Would MC be asked about just one song from J. Lo’s she likes, I guess she’d come up with a silly answer like “I didn’t know there are Jennifer’s songs, I thought she just danced to music” or “I don’t know her music because I just listen to R&B and HipHop” like hello MC, that’s exactly what J Lo has been into since day one. However, they are legends in their own right and no one should be comparing them as they do different things. Jlo has never really bad mouthed Mariah. For everyone saying Mariah should have taken action if what she knew was actually true. Mariah DID. Mariah was on the Sony label when she found out Tommy had stolen the sample for Jennifer and when he took the idea of the Ja Rule collab. Mariah hired a PI, confronted the label with threats of suing since Tommy purposely sabotaged the top artist at Sony in exchange for getting out of her contract, and then signed the Virgin contract weeks later since she knew she needed a label to release the soundtrack with the movie being due in late August before being pushed to the end of September. All of this pressure to star in her first major motion picture in addition to saving the promotion and release of the major motion picture soundtrack along with feelings of paranoid and exhaustion led to her emotional breakdown which the press gladly exacerbated for money.
