I am 68 years old. I don’t know exactly how it happened behind the curtain but I will say this: 1) Me and my spouse’s experience with Medicare Parts A, B, D have been light years better than what I ever experienced with private employer furnishing health insurance. Also it is somewhat less expensive I wouldn’t go near Medicare Part C. 2) Here in Connecticut, whatever unemployment insurance we received during COVID was processed promptly and with relative ease. 3) We’ve never had issues with tax refunds. One year we failed to file with the IRS and although there was a penalty, when we met with an IRS agent they were polite, and helpful with our “workout”. 4) Y2K was NOT the huge disaster many predicted. 5) That said, everything Jennifer is describing is important and illustrates that throwing more people, money, computer cloud storage, software, digital “fairy dust” at large legacy system problems or layering more regulatory aspirations onto an existing system is not ease…definitely not plug-and-play.

From 1950s to present govt has become corrupted and incompetent.Govt lackeys continue to disregard the people that they are supposed to answer to. Govt has become so full of themselves, so arrogant, so above the rabble. People are wising up to how dangerous these clowns are.

In Placer County in California as new state laws are passed county council and senior staff give no thought of notice, interpretation or guidance to front line staff. Knowledge is held as capital to make themselves valuable with no concern of the public welfare.

Wahaha! You can't apply for public housing as felony? So, Dumbo doesn't go to jail?
