Nice reaction Jen!! 💯 Austin Brown is a Phenom that has so much energy that the Energizer Bunny would like to tap into that HOT cell of energy source. I’ve come to realize what an incredible singer Austin is. From his soaring range to the Georgia twang he uses and even simply his pure timbre. I just think he’s a great voice to be active in today’s musical landscape.

I think the album (15 songs?) are all originals except for two. My memory may have failed me on that, but I think that’s right. There will be 10 videos, so start saving time slots! You may have seen Steven in some of Austin’s early videos. He will be a fixture going forward. Steven was Austin’s roommate before they both found love.

It's wonderful to hear an original rendition of this song. He is such a talented singer/song writer/musician and it's terrific that artists are getting away from being under the thumb of corporate suits (i.e. SME). Austin already has so many original songs on his channel ("If I Met You Now", "Real Talk", "Off the Grid" and "I'll Go First" among others). Steven Martinez is a long time friend of his and a magician with any string thing & Aria Stiles is brilliant.

You never stop too much! I could listen to the songs with less stops on my own, but I want to hear your input. So, a 💚 for stops^^ I really like this cover. And on top it seems to really fit Austin's situation - I mean, talk about taking a leap of faith! It will be an originals album (well, one's kind of a cover but with new written lyrics)

Thanks for your analysis. That was a great version of the song. I still miss Austin with HF but I think the travelling was too much for him & he likes being home. Hope he does more of this type of music. I especially like when he covers older classic songs. And hope he does more collaborations with Tim Foust. They always sound great together. I also think the shorter hair looks great on him.

Great reaction as always, Jen! That chord change/progression at "no wizard that there is or was" kinda breaks my ears a little. I don't know enough about music theory to judge but I'd say it was a brave/interesting choice for a change up! What a fun country take on a modern Broadway classic though!

Great reaction, Jen. For a stupendous demonstration of what Austin is capable of, now he's a free man, check out his cover of O Holy Night, in concert with Jon McLoughlin (Sharon Massey's channel, and her recording). He avoids high aerobatics in favour of power, dignity and expressiveness. And for another powerhouse version of Defying Gravity (is there anyone left alive who has not covered it?), you might like Sam Ryder's, as usual a display of vocal fireworks.

Jennifer, could you do a reaction to a new artist for your channel - *Plush* ? All female hard rock band formed in 2020. The singer Moriah Formica had appeared on talent shows American Idol and The Voice when she was younger. She also has performed a series of shows with Trans Siberian Orchestra for the last 2 years. I love bluegrass. I love Wicked. I really did NOT like this. There is some kind of reverb on his voice.
