This is sooo great, thanks for this info! Ive seen people make customized car fresheners but they all used a sublimation printer. Would there be a way to make them without a sublimation printer?

Hi Jennifer, what kind of sublimation inks should I use for the f170 printer? The ink that comes with it is expensive. Can I use it and then use a different type? Or do we have to use only one type and continue with it?? What is the alternative for the f170 printer because the f170 is sold out on Amazon
@JenniferMaker9 күн бұрын
Epson makes their own ink that is specifically made for that printer. I do not recommend using anything else.

Do you have a recommendation for OTHER pens that work with the Cricut Maker?? I'm finding I only have good luck with the gel pens. The opaque ones that I bought, specifically for the white, dried up within 3 months of buying them 😔

How do you avoid getting a dark dot at the start/end point with the pens and markers?
@JenniferMaker10 күн бұрын
I have not really noticed a problem with that. Does it happen with all the fonts you use?
@susanpark32210 күн бұрын
@JenniferMaker when they start and end t the same spot, like bubble writing the font, as well as any drawing that is a closed shape, it happens.

Can u print a page on an ink jet just to be able to paint after I understand outline won't show
@JenniferMaker10 күн бұрын
Yes, you can print a page on an inkjet printer to use as a guide for painting, even if you plan to use sublimation paints later, as the regular inkjet ink will not transfer during the sublimation process, leaving only your painted details on the final product; essentially, you'll only see the outline you painted over the printed guide.

Can this be done with an iron? I don't have the heat press.
@JenniferMaker10 күн бұрын
Yes it is possible but make sure that you do not use any steam and empty the water out.
@kimsgaede940311 күн бұрын
So you don't need to use the sublimation paper with the sublimation pens and paints?
@JenniferMaker10 күн бұрын
No, you don't necessarily need to use dedicated sublimation paper when using sublimation pens and paints however, always check the specific instructions for your sublimation paints or pens as some might require special paper for optimal results.

Hello all
@rese787811 күн бұрын
Silly question, and I i think I already know my answer, but is there a way to sublimate a cup or mug without a heat press?🤷♀️
@JenniferMaker10 күн бұрын
Yes, you can sublimate a mug without a dedicated heat press by using a convection oven, a toaster oven, or even an air fryer, as long as it can reach the necessary high temperatures and you wrap the sublimation paper properly around the mug to ensure even heat distribution; just be sure to use a sublimation-ready mug and follow proper temperature and time settings.

@JenniferMaker wow this is amazing, and I didn't know this. I know I've watched several of your videos, but you don't by chance have 1 with all of these ideas, do you? Thank you again, and Happy Holidays!!
