@Ms.Byrd6811 ай бұрын
There's not a reason for the YOUTH not to use this style but if you're older with issues, this style can be a very 'tiring' style to do. You would want to make the 'twists' much BIGGER so it's less to take out later.

Been natural for 7 years now and the struggle was real. I was nervous to cut it to start over back in 2014 but I made the decision because my sister in-law who was natural for 7 years at the time, encouraged me to take the leap so I did. I felt like my natural hair was too much work, my mom at 1st was wondering what I was going to do to it when we would go to church, you know Haitian parents are but I stood my ground and rocked it natural the best that I could. I got the groove of it later and 4 years I got a silk press, by a professional of course and I loved it , then I tried to keep up with it and the heat damage nearly killed me. All those years of adjusting to the new hair and I ruined my progress. So then I decided enough is enough. I’m going to learn how to manage my hair and let her talk to me. 7 years strong now I can honestly say it was the best decision I’ve ever made and I’ve never loved my hair as much as I do right now Thanks go to you for educating me and from one Haitian girl to another Haitian girl having 4c hair is a challenge but you’ve helped me embrace it as best as I possibly could have and I truly appreciate you for it. Merci petit lol

Hi Jen, I am a child of the 70s and as long as I can remember natural hair has been about technique and having the correct hair products. I had a relaxer since I was 4 yrs old b/c my mom couldn't take care of my hair herself and the stylist in our small town didn't do natural hair. In 2017 I decided to go natural and shaved my head. After some learning lessons from causing my own shedding and breakage, my hair's stretched length now is just above my bra strap. My love for my natural hair grows everytime I have a good hair day. Sometimes they are far and few in between but baybay when it's a good hair day the girls with wigs and weaves that try to look like mine have nothing on me. I love that it is big and unruly though when she acts up I threaten to let her dread up but then she acts right and we love each other again. Also I am addicted to mini twist too, I can get lazy with my hair but mini twists allow me to be lazy but still take care for and maintain the moisture my hair needs. Question to you, when you take out your twist do you leave it out a few days to enjoy the curls before washing? Instagram: L.Michele12

Hello, this is my first time watching your video and I loved your hair. I started going natural after perming my hair for years. My hair started thinning in the crown of my head. I really enjoy going natural, I've been natural for about 7 months and really enjoying the process. I'm allways looking for new ideas and products to use as I go through the process. Right now I'm currently using a biotin shampoo and conditioner along with carrier and essential oils which hasvhelped me get through the process as I go through this journey. I'm looking forward to how my hair will turn out once I'm complete natural.

Jenn J. I love just watching your presentations for 4C hair; although, I'm a senior with very thin 2C gray hair. Do you have any hair maintenance suggestions for my 2C hair type? Regardless, I will continue to watch your presentations.

Hi!! I love your channel! I love my natural hair because of uniqueness it brings when styling. Also, because I get to show my daughters the beauty of our 4c hair.

My hair is giving everything I hoped she would. I have been consistent, particated in the protective style challenge, actually I think I do the protective style challenge all yr round lol. She has been done up and put away for months. I have a great natural hair stylist that is actually helping me take care of my hair so that is a major plus **sidenote your finger looks to be healing really well

Love your tutorial. Do you ever incorporate aloe vera gel in your routine? I just got a leaf from the store and thinking about doing a prepoo with it.
