Very good technique. I saturate my hair with a leave in conditioner, I use V05 because it is cheap. Let my hair air dry then remove my twists.

This is the best takedown of mini twist that seems so easy. I like that you had minimum amount of shedding. 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Great 👍 video but I don't think that 🤔 will ever be doing this hairstyle because of time consuming. I remember doing my daughter hair with the plastic straws and I said then not ever will I do a hairstyle which requires a lot of time. 💘 the video again! Keep bringing us great content to⌚!

Great video! I have two questions... 1. My hair is heat damaged and so the ends of my hair doesn’t have any curl to it, however the roots are tightly curled. How do I get my curl pattern back without cutting my hair? 2. In styling your hair, do you put your butter cream on first and then the leave in conditioner or vice versa?
@ctay4sho094 жыл бұрын
I heard that doing several protein treatments can eventually bring the curls back. (If ur not protein sensitive). But if it's too damaged to repair. U probably will have to cut it vaguely as your hair grows out.
@JennJackson4 жыл бұрын
I agree with the comment before me. Unfortunately, there is no repairing heat damage. When styling I do the opposite - Leave in first and then butter. Good luck sis
@ndawilemlenga97324 жыл бұрын
Hey Jenn, I have a quick question. If you are in any protective style, for example the mini twists you did. How did you make sure your hair is moisturized? Or how did you apply oil/or whatever that kept it moisturized?
@wittykitti4 жыл бұрын
For me I'd moisturize as normal. Add leave in conditioner and baggie my hair for about an hour then rub in Shea butter and oil my scalp directly. I'd then out the twists in big plaits and leave sleep in them. This helps keep in the moisture as well as well as give the twists a twistout look essentially.

I find that I can NOT wash my twists. Some folks can do it, but I cannot. Makes them expand and then become matted - a nightmare to remove. So I generally try to get to my twists too wet and then they are super easy to remove with few knots.
@danisimz1354 жыл бұрын
Is it a protective style if the twists are a bit bigger than yours (3-4 times the size)? Mini twists scare me but I want to keep up with protective styling because I can see some improvement on my hair.
@JennJackson4 жыл бұрын
Yes twists in GENERAL are protective. I have maybe 10 twists in my hair right now and I pull them up into a bun for extra protection to my ends.

LOL!....suicide mission....funny. Been there...don’t do it to yourself 🤣. I borrow because one, I didn’t know it was a thing., I just be trying to get the hairstyle over and done with. Two, because I just grab hair when I am twisting and I don’t actually make for real parts. I just rip my borrowed hair apart from each other and generally don’t worry about knots; I just pull them. I need to do better. I like how you took your time with this. I may mini twist mine next wash day. I generally keep my in 4-6 weeks. I am excited to see your wash day and results....if you show it...using the product you showed us. I am currently using her stuff and trying to see how its working for me. Thanks for sharing.

You can actually wear the twists out like a style too then detangle your hair in a couple Of days when that style wears out. I do that all the time and can wear it for a week with defined twist out. Also before you take the twists out the day before moisturize your hair very well.

Your hair is thriving since your second big chop after your relaxer! Is it true that your hair grows better when you relax it and then do another big chop? I just RELAXED my hair, and it got so TERRIBLY BURNT (video is on my KZbin channel). Watching you makes me crave my natural 4c hair 😢. No regrets though, I am at a trial and error faze in my hair journey. I see myself going back to natural in the future. Take care doll, xo.
@JennJackson4 жыл бұрын
Hey! I don't think my hair is thriving because i had a relaxer but rather because I try to take better care of it now. After how burnt the relaxer gets your hair, you suddenly feel like you have to be EXTRA nice to be forgiven LOL

If those are mini twists then are maxi-plus. Yet I still struggle with major tangle and knotting. Just last night, as I was untangling, I decided that my hair doesn't like twists, and that twists are not my friend.
