Is it not amazing how a simple [yet great] song such as this can fill you with so much joy whilst transporting you back in time - flooding you mind with so many happy memories from your past. This one took me right back to what I still consider my "happy place"... Brisbane November 1989. To the love of my life Fiona ❤ (Fi), in the Bowen Terrace backpackers. Such great memories, reminding me of happy times and "what if's and maybe" had things turned out differently back then. 🤔 But for now, I've got this song on repeat, a tear in my eye and a smile on my face. Ah... memories - just like a tune. So hard to get out of your head. So to Fi & and her best friend from Dunedin [Julie]... here's to happy times 🍻 Thank you 💘

I saw Jenny perform this live with other hits at the Cronulla Worker's Club in 1989 (before it was demolished). I remember the crowd being asked not to smoke during her performance, professional and health conscious (remember when people smoked everywhere and you could never wash the smell out of your clothes). Excellent performance and beautiful lady, great memories of a better world.

Great, great track. But then again, that's Jenny. And I love the dance routine in the clip. It's a great dance routine. I especially enjoy watching the lady dancing. Deliciously feminine and girly and vibrant. Looks like they both had a really good time dancing. Wish I could dance like that. A terrible tragedy about Jenny's condition. Toni Childs also had a dreadful health condition. She's also another of my faves. What a voice Toni's got.
She was born in my hometown of tokoroa big ups also this song reminds me of being a kid and going to DEKA

When I was a kid, I used to steal lollies from DEKA when they had those wide open plastic areas full of those mass amount of all the single Cadbury roses. This was at the Tauranga store back in the mid 90s hahaha

I still have the Album on cassette. And i recently bought the 30th Anniversary Edition. Not to mention my Eurogliders poster i still have from Smash Hits magazine.
In the early 90s, this song was my heart's cry to my husband, I stayed another 20 years, waiting. It still makes me cry to listen to. I did try so very hard.
