I just bought a 2001 model in Australia (right hand drive). It needs a lot of tender loving care. First job is to install some foldable shelves. Then extend the wheel well raiser so I can fit a bigger mattress in it. I'm hoping this will mean that if I'm every homeless it will be in style!

People that know how to repair something, most of the time in my experience, have gained that knowledge from doing it before - and not always successfully the first time; this can involve personal injury, parts springing off and hours of searching for that one lost bit, before trying to work out how it all goes back together again, which is why you should always reward people (did someone say “beer”?) not for the quick fix they helped you with, but for the previous pain and learning they went through becoming that “expert”. Amazing van, great craftsmanship (craftsperson?) in that interior build, and I love that rear tyre carrier. I’m sure DOT-T will still be running, albeit slowly, in the decades ahead when all of the newer Euro6 vans have long gone to the scrappy when some irreplaceable part packs up.

90kph is around 55mph or so. Ridden in Bosnia many times, Sarajevo being one of my favourite cities in the Wolrd. Now at least you can easily get up to the amazing views of the city from bobsleigh run used in the 1984 winter Olympics, and see why it was a strategic position for the siege during the Balkan War. And Albania is stunning. The ferry from Fier to Koman is beautiful. As is the town of Theth in the north, although I don't think 99.999% of motor homes will make it along the SH41 road. Not unless they are 4x4 with big ground clearance. Book one of the cheap B&B's in the village, park up in Skhoder and take one of the 4x4 taxis up there. The drivers also know the road, which is said to be one of the most dangerous roads in the World. Well worth the effort.

I have to contradict you on your comment concerning the fact that British people not being willing to help car/van breakdowns I have both helped and received help on numerous occasions from the general public during breakdowns Perhaps you have just been unfortunate in your experience 👌
