I am a foundation stick lover. Covergirl also has a cream foundation in a compact that works great. Milk, Lancome, Loreal... my favorites. I really miss Loreal’s cushion foundation. For some reason my skin loves creams. I have dry sensitive skin.

I love these types of videos! I hear that honest beauty has a foundation balm but I haven’t tried it. If I want a quick easy swipe I just use my stick foundation from wet n wild. Your amazon compact idea is genius! With my skin type I have to mix foundations and that would work perfect! Thanks!!! As usual, you are the best!

I’m really getting annoyed with the whole “balm foundation “ thing. It’s a cream foundation. There is literally no difference between the two. It’s a marketing gimmick and everyone is falling for it. Milani has an amazing cream to powder foundation. It’s been around for years and it’s totally underrated.

You're 100% right it is a cream foundation and I seem to remember years ago that they were more popular! The new Stila one is actually a balm- it has no coverage and feels kind of waxy, not at all like a cream. But the KVD one is definitely a cream! For some reason I never noticed the Milani one, so that's interesting! I also forgot that CoverGirl's Age Rewind line has a cream/compact foundation too!

Those “balm” foundations seem to me to be just like stick foundations only flat in a compact. That demo of the KVD balm foundation was arguably the saddest foundation look I’ve ever seen. Yikes! Good that you can return it.

My mom loved Teddy Bears, she had a collection of them dressed in different clothes, and had names for them all. She was very old when she passed and because of her love ❤️ for bears, 🐻 I just have to add this to my collection. She was shopping for make-up well into her 90's. That KVD stuff was terrible. Try the CoverGirl Olay Simply Ageless Foundation "balm or cream" one. Its amazing. Use a damp sponge to apply!

Honestly, every person that I've watched try that KVD foundation has hated it. It's not just you. I think KVD must have paid some TikTok influencers and they did a good job of selling it to their audience and it spread from there. I don't know, obviously but I'm just guessing that they were either very young and so didn't have the same problems or had already tried it and had figured a work around so they didn't look like they were the only one on there that didn't like it. Thanks for the dupes. I always look forward to seeing what you find. I love that you help us out because although I probably buy more makeup than I should. .at least I know that I'm getting the best deals for what I want and how I want to look! As soon as I read the word balm, I knew it was a definite no. Even if you have dry skin, there's no way a balmy finish can look good for long. I think the tik tokers are just very young and want that flawless looking 1 minute video. With you 100 percent

I heard that Sephora was flooded with returns of the KVD balm after a week or two. I wasn’t tempted as I have the Kevin Aucoin foundation balm which I like very much. I’m 72 with DRYYYYYY skin.

I finally got the PUR 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup and it really lives up to the claims! It's a powder, but it melts into the skin like a cream, gives the coverage of foundation, and just looks and feels like flawless skin.

I have and e.l.f. one and the PÜR one because I got the PÜR set that has the brush, face powder, bronzer, mini primer, and the mascara. On sale, it's like $19. The e.l.f. one works just as well, though.

Great video! You talked about a few items I was really interested in! The Teddy Bare palette also reminds me of the ABH Sultry palette - which I already have (hangs head in shame as I haven't used it yet). The Blonzer is another item I have been eyeing (been on a super huge blush kick lately) and I have the TF Papa Don't Peach blush and have never used it so don't think I need that one either...lol. Best "Duper" there is , and one of my favorite KZbinrs 😊. I put the CoverGirl powder in my cart at Walmart so I don't forget lol. I don't know why , but I have always hated putting foundation on my face. Lotions and others things are fine. I am always on the lookout for powder foundations that are good for dry skin !

I love that you do videos like this. When I look at the Teddy Bare palette I like it a lot, and looking at the colors in pan I am drawn to and prefer it over the tarte palette, but once you swatched them side by side I actually like the tarte one better. Also not sure if they would be the same once swatched, but that pink shade from the Teddy Bare palette reminds me of the one pink shade in the ABH sultry palette.

It’s so crazy, I really liked the KVD Balm! I’m 42 and really enjoyed it. But, I also don’t look too closely at my face. Lol. So, it’s possible I just didn’t look close enough. I started out by having to use cream foundations as a teen, I couldn’t get liquid to blend AT ALL. So, Merle Norman and Mary Kay cream foundations were what I had to use. I don’t think I could get a liquid foundation to blend until I was around 30 or so... beauty blender helped me hugely in blending liquid foundations. I just love cream foundations!

For KDV foundation I would rather use Lancome Dual Finish. Not cheaper but I recently rediscovered in my collection and work as a foundation and a powder. I am 50 plus years old and have dry skin with rosacea. As long as I moisturize well I don’t get settling into dry patches like your picture indicated. Love your videos!❤️

I haven't seen any shimmery cream blushes in the drugstore. Melt has a good product there. The Kiss of Rose Blonzer reminds me of something Charlotte Tilbury would do. It's so pretty.

Elf has a Monochromatic Multi Stick that has a bit of sheen to it. Maybe that might be a "duping the vibe" product to try? I've only heard good things about it, though I can't use products like it because my skin is oily. ~ Anastacia in Cleveland

Great video. I have the Cor de Rosa as well as the milani cheek kiss blush so I’m all set. I use the L’Oréal age perfect 24 hour powder foundation which is excellent for the summer. The feel is perfect as well.
