I just bought one from Amazon with a backup camera & I'm having Best Buy install it ASAP. I'm putting it in my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. Around September I'm having a radar detector installed permanently as well. front & rear antennas, GPS lockouts & all the speed/traffic enforcement camera locations etc, with an OLED display for the dash. then I'm done updating. I just replaced all my internal light bulbs with soft white LEDs. I bought new in October 2007 & just hit 60k miles. love my Hyundai!

Sounds great, if it's an automatic transmission, don't forget remote start. That's one of my favorite mods for some reason. Even if you don't "need" it!

Very nice...thanks for the review...I'm installing my new jensen over the next couple days..terrible mess cutting the dash backing all up but ended up not messing it up and came out clean...very excited about this radio didn't understand the scw feature but...i don't need that...so that's that...thinking about getting the rear camera feature which i like...curious about the gps feature and wondering if I need to get the scw av unit to do that...I've never used this kind of technology before so I am wondering how it works and if I need an internet connection or membership or anything...Sirius is good but I don't have that and would like to hold off on that and wonder if i need the scw for that too...so that part has me pretty mixed up.. other than that it's real simple to install..plug and play pretty much...looks great so far...what about the microphone? Did you install that? Price...I managed to grab mine for around $129 on amazon..they had 1 left and it was factory refurbished and I bought it because it was such a great deal...definitely would like way more info on this radio and im actually suprised it didn't come with a manual at all for me since it came factory direct....🤔

I have had nothing but problems with my Jenson VX7020. I took it to the radio shop that I bought it from and they can't fix the issue. They discontinued selling this model because it was junk and had too many complaints. First of all, it won't retain the station memory when I shut it off. Eg. , if I was on FM 92.3 and turn off the car, the station advances by .2 to FM 92.5 , it does the same on all channels. If I was on FM 98.7, it would advance to FM 98.9 when the power was cut. The radio shop installed a power wire from the battery to " help " the memory but it doesn't work. Italso takes too long to boot up when you start the car, just as it did in the video. I paid $300. for this POS. i should have spent the additional funds to get a decent radio.

I just did my firmware update. Word of Advice, Use a min of 4gb MiniSD card. I got lucky that I was able to run the update again and it completed instead of freeze for 30 mins, in fact the update took 3 mins the 2nd time around

Google maps is not that Great has sent me to a lot of wrong addresses ! Prefer standalone GPS like the radio who is the GPS software by ? And can you play DVD on it and ifso can it play DVD while driving ?

@@Julian-rh6pj Yes. But keep in mind that since it has no HD radio, it does not display song information when listening to the radio. Not a bid deal since most radio stations just show their station identifying information instead of track information. The touchscreen is very responsive, like a phone.

Thanks for this! I just bought a vx7022 and had the geek squad do the install (with sirus xm) in my 99 civic. When I bought the car two weeks ago the stock radio was code locked with no documentation. So I have been running around two weeks listening to the motor and wind. This thing looks and sounds great. I have yet to run through all the options, but I found that (at least in my car) the fm stations need to be really close to pick them up. Have you had that issue?

Congrats on your new radio. I haven't noticed any difference in FM reception with my new radio. I have heard of people experiencing this after swapping there radios because the antenna cable isn't firmly fitted in the back.

I 've had this radio for about 3 years now...and I hate it! It has terrible range for picking up radio stations, everytime i turn off the truck and turn it back on the radio station changes off the previous station ,so its ALWAYS static when it comes on EVERYTIME never fails. Now the touch screen around the egdes don't respond well at all. I can't wait to replace it. Its a shame lots of good features for a decent price but overall i wish i would have bought something else!

So I would love to test this for you but the GPS feature has stopped working. It just says searching for satellite, along with a few other issues to include parts of the touchscreen unresponsive. =/ I'll be calling the company to see what's up, if it's out of warranty good thing I bought it with my Discover card! I haven't called Jensen yet. I wanted an Android head unit to but didn't want to wait for it to bootup. It's a shame when the car shuts off it can't just "lock" it like a tablet or phone would. Which would mean the battery would keep the unit on while the car's off but tablets use so little power on standby. However with all the additional things you can do with Android (Waze, Uber, video call, etc.) I recommend the cheap Chinese head unit over this.

hi howcin, thanks for your feedback. i have heard good reviews about JOYING unit. I have heard the these new units 2GB ram have low power standby mode and are quiet snappy using Intel CPUs. Also for Jensen I would need to purchase Australian maps via naviextras. I presume Jensen would have better Amp than the chinese units.

I am looking to buy a new double din deck like this for my pickup. It’s been 12 years since I’ve bought a deck and I have no idea who the good manufacturers are anymore. My question is this... what made you buy Jensen over say Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine or Clarion? Was it strictly price point or was there something else?

I've been thinking about buying a double din radio. I'm kind of back and forth between the clarion radio with Google, and this one. I really think I like the clarion because it has the google feature, but i've been kind of been considering this one since it mostly has what i'm looking for, I think, and it's less expensive. So I was sort of wondering what things you might not like about this radio since you've tried it out?

Hi Morgan, This radio is very good, and you should be satisfied with it, it does read all the directions to you when using then navigation, you can also mute this if you'd rather it not interrupt your music. It does not read text messages to you, although I imagine getting an app for this would be a piece of cake on today's smartphone app markets. Of course there are some things I don't like about it but it's minor things: - The display is a bit washed out and hard to read when in direct sunlight. Apparently there are some matte skins you can put over the screen to remedy this but right out of the box direct sunlight is a slight problem. -Doesn't auto start your music from a Bluetooth device when you start up the car. Some Bluetooth radios will automatically hit play on your phone if Bluetooth was the last source used. The Jensen will only start playing music if you were listening to XM, or AM/FM. Actually that's all I can think of right now I don't like. Thanks for watching. I definitely don't mind all the questions, before I buy something I ask a thousand too. Have a good day.

+RensFootprints Just did mine this evening. Version shipped with it was 2012 (found with "Help>About"). The version it installed in the update process is July 2014. Today's date is May 2016. Doesn't sound like the latest to me, but its at least two years newer. Main thing is that I now have a backup too since I did that operation in the process. For others who haven't done this, I can confirm that the whole process was a pain, and not the most intuitive - but hey - its software. What can we expect ;-)

I just got the vx7022 and right before i turn the car on i can hear a low humming sound coming from the front bottom of my car. A friend told me its the car fuel pump but I've seen on KZbin that some stereos make that noise because of grounding issues. Anyone have that problem?

With this car the stock radio is split between 2 sections. I actually don't have this radio screwed down it's just floating there. =/ Don't even get me started with how much of a pain in the ass it was to change out my shitty stock speakers with some new ones. Hyundai RIVETS the speakers instead of using screws...yeah and that's just the beginning of that shit sandwich. It is possible though, it just makes for a weekend project rather than 20 minutes like it should be to swap out a radio and maybe an hour if you're also doing speakers.

No it is having many issues. Screen calibration constantly going away, many factory resets, no longer finds satellites for navigation, etc. Trying to get the unit replaced but the support team is garbage. If all the units act this way after a year I cannot recommend it any longer. Possibly a followup video coming on all the problems.
