Thank you Jen!♥️ You made my day!🤗 I wish I had watched this video ten months ago. But unfortunately not much has changed since that time.😌 So I'm trying to hang in there and focus on brushing up on my English by binging on useful videos and looking forward to the end of this "world nightmare" which is called covid-19.🙏

I have just been in one of those numerous quarantines in China, so I decided not to bring myself down this time and even though I had to call off most of my plans, I made up my mind to man up and deal with my frustration. This time people were not really stocking up on food and supplies, since quarantine takes place almost every single month and they learned not to panic anymore.
@alexpopov51332 жыл бұрын
I had to head towards the supermarket, since I had used up all the vegetables and eggs at home. First couple of days I constantly was sleeping in and dozing off in the afternoon, even though I tried to work out on a regular basis. I felt fatigued all the time and sometimes I would suddenly zone out when my girlfriend was talking to me about something trivial and not essential.
@alexpopov51332 жыл бұрын
That was truly exasperating, and I felt just like a wild animal would feel, ending up in a cage. That all was really cheesing off, so I decided to put myself together and brush up on my English at last. I cleaned up all the mess at home and in my head at the same time. I started to binge on healthy food and feast on something rich on proteins and slow carbs. I called up my friends, but I wouldn't sound pathetic and miserable, we just reminisced and thought back on the happiest times of our lives, when playing in the same musical band. After all was said and done, I knew it will somehow work out and it actually did. I am happy to be a new version of myself today and I will keep going to study English, playing the guitar and keep fit as well by working out either in the gym or home. Thank you, Jen. Your phrasal verbs were really amazing!!! I really enjoyed this class.

You made English more natural to me as you are talking about everyday actions that we may have never met in our textbooks. You bring it from lines in books to real life. I wish also you could make more videos on COLLOCATION. Thank you so much and keep going.

Hi Jen, What I’ve been doing during the lockdown? As you might know I’m married in Ottawa on August 25, 2018, with my sweet Canadian wife, and they (also my stepdaughter) moved towards Holland to live with me. Now we’re having plans to move back to Canada. So I will be the one emigrating. Back to the question asked; I’ve been cleaning up my house, I moved my mom to her new apartment and I sold a lot of stuff and bought new thing that come in handy in Canada. Like an Apple Mac mini to use as my computer when we move to Canada. Now I’m learning everything there is to know about Canada, using my time as good as possible. Thank you for all these great videos!!! I’m watching them one by one.

Thanks for sharing and for your nice comment, Jafeth ☺️. It seems you have a great international love story. 💐 It also seems like you have been very busy and productive during lockdown. I imagine that helping your mother move during a pandemic could have been quite challenging. I am sure she will miss you as you immigrate to Canada. I hope your move from Holland to Ottawa will go well 🇨🇦. My husband and I had a similar story before. He is Japanese and I am Canadian. After getting married, we lived together in Japan for awhile and then moved to Canada because I missed my family here too much 😅.

Jen, amazing video. You are a hard-working person and you are struggling so much to teach so well, that we all have to be so grateful to you. This lesson goes very well on the current situation. We have to hand in there in this lockdown time, on the other hand what would be better than brushing up on JeN´s Jyugyou videos. 💖 Jen, you asked me where was I from. I was born in Madrid and lived here all my life, except for two years that I lived in Montreal (Canada). I returned because I was offered a job at a NASA tracking station in Madrid, which was looking in Canada and England for Spanish technical personnel who could speak English, to operate the station during the Apollo Program mission and other proyects in Deep Space. We were several people, many of us with quite a bit of touch of Canadian culture. We all were very happy working in that endeavour. ✨

We just have to hang in there a while longer. ❤️ You worked for NASA! That's so cool!⭐️ Every time you mention something new about your career and life it is so interesting! 🙂 You have a few videos on your channel of Madrid, so it makes sense that you live there. ☺️ I hope the situation there is starting to get at least a little bit better. 🌸

I have made several phrasal verb lessons which I've put together in a playlist for easier studying: kzbin.info/aero/PLktdXyVCSbc-5jOeqWjRw5ehoGc8p3vRm 😎 I hope that helps. As for making a lesson on all phrasal verbs, that would take awhile as there are actually over 10, 000 phrasal verbs in English 😅. Now, before you panic though, I have been working a lesson about how to effectively study phrasal verbs and luckily it isn't about memorization all the time. Once I'm finally finished that lesson I hope you'll find it helpful 😁. Thanks again for your support 🤩.

Dear J:Can we use to hoard instead of stock up?
@JeNsJyugyou3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jimmy 🤗. Yes, in some situations 'hoard' is a good replacement for 'stock up'. Stock up has a positive feeling associated with it, but 'hoard' has a negative feeling connected to it. So if someone says they've stocked up on toilet paper, it makes it seem positive that they've prepare well and bought a lot of it for the future. However, in the same situation if someone is unhappy about the person buying lots of toilet paper, they would say the person is hoarding it. 🧻 I hope that helps 😁.

@JeNsJyugyou4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment and question. ☺️ You are absolutely correct that saying, "Chill out!" directly to someone is rude. 😅 Depending on the tone of your voice, telling someone in authority to calm down could be rude too, so how you say it is important. 🤔 If you're just talking about yourself though, (for example, "Ahhh! I am so stressed, I really need to be alone to chill out for a bit.") then it doesn't sound rude. 👍🏻
