In Beauty And The Beasts you can see how the show has improved so much in terms of character development, plot lines, cinematography etc. S3 was excellent with a consistently good standard of episode. The metaphor here of the abusive partner shown in a great episode, and an obvious sub plot playing homage to Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. This show once again mirrors serious social comment, some great scenes in this episode, the best is when Angel falls to his knees in front of Buffy and the camera pans out with the dead couple on the floor.

"when I... WOKE UP!" Giles stole the entire episode with those two words right there. Glad you enjoyed this one as it seems to be one of the weaker episodes of this incredible season. Also, I love the life lessons from you, Jer.

"Diddy" LOL, taking on a new meaning. Of course it's easy to guess Oz would come in to play here. But we also get another one of "the classics" in a take on Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde. And for bonus content, we get Angel acting very beastly.

While most like to point out that the counselor was Mr. Moseby on The Suite Life, I prefer to mention that he was the school newspaper editor in the classic 80s film Heathers.

Smoking counselor deserved better and I would have loved to see him more throughout the season instead of offed in one ep.

Imagine if Buffy could get some therapy? My hope is that if the rumored reboot ever gets off the ground, we see some more support for the Slayer or Slayers, mentally and financially. All of the Scoobies could have benefited from counseling, imo, and it's sad that this one dude who seemed to be on Buffy's level and "get" her (and she felt she could open up to) didn't last very long.

"he came back, Terminator-style, buff-ass naked"- so my question is, WHO PUT PANTS ON HIM? Angel seems to be absolutely feral. It's easy to assume that there are still clothes and things at The Mansion (which gives me a chuckle every time because there's a titty bar right down the road from here called that- and it claims to have "the best steaks")- but how would a feral Angel have the presence of mind to put pants on his body before he goes out hunting? I guess it's one of those moments where I should repeat to myself, it's just a show, I should really just relax...
