Awesome that you having so much fun in Ithaca area. We met once in Boston, Arnold Arboretum, both walking the dogs. I moved to the Netherlands (Europe) but I have a route to get the boots to NL with no problems. Love to spread the boot religion here.

I wore Cowtown ostrich boots for years. I found them to be extremely durable and long lasting. I used them while cowboying in Oklahoma and Texas. They fit well in the stirrup and stood up to the rigors of the life and they were affordable. My choice was the smooth ostrich but liked the full quill as well.

I love my Cowtown canebreaks, they definitely aren't as heavy duty as my Rios or Anderson Bean's, but they were a fraction of the price and I only wear them for dress occasions anyway, so they won't be getting beat up.

These are truly beautiful boots. The fact they're made in the U.S.A. make them more desirable, as it is with all products I buy. I had a pair of Texas Imperial boots I bought in my late teens that served me for over 40 years. My wife pitched them in the garbage, while I was away caring for my failing mother. I never understood her reasoning for doing that. Anyway, I've been wanting to purchase a pair ever since then. I came close to ordering from Tim's Boots some time ago, but the ones I liked weren't available in a wide size.

That trendy Mexican boot brand has QC issues and sizing on boots that's all over the place. Plus that thick leather stitching at the top of the heel kills my heels. (Compade with the nice smooth transition of Black Jack)
