@@alexandersiemienowski2607 ‘But no one cared’ Ha, if only. There’s literally a video on this same channel called ‘Top Gear complaints and offended people compilation’; you’re just blatantly wrong. People will always get offended about seemingly insignificant things. That hasn’t changed and certainly won’t as long as there are people with differing opinions. The only difference between now and then is that there is a platform to better voice your opinions on. I.e the internet. (Facebook, Twitter etc.) Can you imagine if people swore as they do now on early British television? I mean seriously. What about the type of clothing people wear today? Would that have been tolerated back then? The idea that people nowadays are more offended than they were in the past is a misconception. You’re exposed to hundreds of opinions on a given day. @nicolasa.31922 жыл бұрын
@@roymcfloyd1149 Chrysler entered the Neon into the small, affordable, fuel efficient car category when they built it dude, what do you mean they never entered into competition with Honda? The Neon was a direct competitor to the Civic by virtue of existing. That was their pie and Chrysler wanted a piece of it. Now they don't make the Neon and they're all the worse for it. Lee Iacocca's words of wisdom to dominate the American auto industry was to "make a small car that Americans want to buy." The Neon existed by that philosophy. Now Chrysler doesn't play that game anymore, but they're hemorrhaging money in the process by ignoring the "boring car" market. Meanwhile Honda still make the Civic as you said and it remains probably the most recognizable nameplate of any vehicle ever. Honda only gets to be as big as they are and make crazy cars like the NSX and 1000cc bikes that make them no money because of reliable sources of income like the Civic. The Neon was, just like the Caravan, the only thing keeping Chrysler from going belly up. I think that's worth a hell of a lot. Also, you can't claim that they didn't make fun of the Neon lol. May literally called it "the worst car ever made" verbatim, my guy.
