Issue is, no matter the fuel, as long as it goes into a combustion engine, it will release carbon dioxide at some level to the atmosphere. On the other hand, electric cars are not the saviors currently either, because the manufacturing and mining for the materials needed especially for batteries, require a lot of equipment and shipment and transport, which all produce a lot of carbon emissions too. And to produce electricity used to charge said batteries, we still rely on very unclean energy for the most part - hopefully that will change soon though...

I would title this interview as "A Petrolhead will be always a Petrolhead", personally I'm an huge fan of all three and I still watch the original TopGear seasons from time to time, looking at the old reviews and how the car world has evolved and how the interaction between them became the show's soul, but to be honest I never watched the new series without them, with all respects to the actual hosts, of course, I prefer the originals.

I agree with everything he articulated in this video, especially his utter dismay at selling his BMW 3.0 CSL / absolute classic and now worth a fortune. I miss seeing Jeremy and his non-PC outlook

When you asked; If he will ever have an electric car, And he said, I will never have one.. I just wanted to come through the screen and hug him.

Every time I've said NEVER, I have had to eat my words. I will have both, but I'm hoping for a fuel cell vehicle, as the quick fill time appeals to me.

Never say never. In the future, those electric cars will be lapping most anything with an internal combustion engine.

I'm also lucky in that I prefer older cars to new cars. Probability that all new car sales will be electric in the future, won;t worry me too much if you can still buy secondhand petrol cars. Much prefer eighties, nineties and early noughties cars to vehicles made since

It would be nice if the batteries in electric cars didn't turn into roaring bonfires just because someone scraped a bumper when parking.

His biggest regret used to be his GTV6. I’m glad he’s bought one and now it’s the BMW CSL.

When I was young I always wait on the Saturday to watch old Top Gear. I am greatfull for all of that happy time in front of TV just waching how they have fun in cars. Now I am father and I am watching their show with my young doughter. She loves them TOO! Greetings from Poland - Silesia. I know that Clarkson hate Polish truck drivers :D

BACK TO THE TENT/STUDIO!! The car reviews, motoring news, the banter and conversation between the trio and the studio audience... That’s what made these guys so special. The road trips were fun bonus episodes but this new grand tour that is just scripted road trips isn’t going to last long. Please make a U-turn and bring back the old formula or a new variation of it. I miss it with all my heart and I know all the original fans do too. Would a petition help? 😂

I love The Grand Tour but I miss their studio like nothing else! It's a car show first and foremost and I always loved the three of them nerd over new, old, their faves, and their most hated cars for an hour straight. I really liked the Specials as well, but now that they have an entire season full of specials it isn't special no more.

There was a while, years ago when Jeremy used to get on my nerves, even though I enjoyed Top Gear but I've started to think that was a false TV persona I didn't like. When he's being himself (like here), he seems a much more relaxed and interesting person.
