Ive met jeremy. We live in the same area and a mutual friend took me to his place to meet him. He is a hell of a guy and has some really cool man toys. The sheriff over the county at that time was very crooked. The sheriffs son got caught stalking a woman amongst many other things between the two of them. He was the one over the raids. They really made a mess for jeremy. It takes a big man to get knocked down and get back up and keep on going. Hats off to jeremy!

Jeremy Mayfield drove my dad around the track at Michigan International Speedway in 1998. That meant the world to my father. His friends took a picture on that day, blew it up and it hung in my dad's bedroom over his bed until he died. I also have a picture of my dad and Jeremy from that day; priceless. Everyone watching this needs to remember that this kind of thing happens every day to poor people. They pressure someone to set someone up, then wash rinse repeat down the line. They seek a lot of charges for leverage, so they’ll often charge crazy stuff with little evidence. If you used these same tactics the police use, to get someone to sign a contract, you’d go to jail, but it’s legal for them to pressure confessions, statements against others and plea deals.

Mine also... we had him to our Hardware Store for a meet and greet and radio deal... it was cool... picked him and is agent up at a local small airport in a private jet that belonged to another driver that I can't remember. He also spent hundreds of dollars on Carharrt stuff... it was in November. He is a good guy! I hate all this happened to him. He only charged us 1500 for the trip.

" I'm the guy that took down Michael Vick" etc. is the merit badge they'll do anything unscrupulous for. Sure, Vicks dog fighting was bad, career makers turned it into a Federal Case. I say it had more to do with the fact they got the same doctor to handle it and he missed Chris Benoit and Chris killed himself and his family. Then the doctor had to go before Congress. Nascar couldn't get involved in that for not vetting the guy properly. They probably got federal officials involved to put this away because of all the corporate sponsors attached in Nascar that could pull out because Nascar did no due diligence.

I have always been on JM side through this entire thing. NASCAR has always been the judge, jury, prosecutor, and executioner in every single case. It wouldn't surprise me if NASCAR had their hand in the cookie jar with the police in this situation. I have never thought that Jeremy did what NASCAR said he did, and this podcast backs up the absurdity of the whole deal. My conclusion was that JM was railroaded due to the fact that what he said to have been never showed in his speech, appearance, or health whereas out in public when you these types of addicts, it really does present itself and you can’t mistake this type of drug abuse. When police want to charge you with a crime you didn’t commit without evidence they make sure to charge you with multiple variations of the crime so that the case doesn’t get dismissed as easily. The judge and state attorney will scare you at your first hearing reading off the max jail time if convicted all while they already know the charges are over-kill and your lawyer will negotiate with them later to make you plea guilty to the lesser of all charges. They tell you if you try fighting and taking things to trial and lose you get the max jail time to deter you from clogging up their calendars. Cops have arrest “goals” to hit and states attorneys have conviction percentages to keep close to 100% as possible. Don’t ever talk to law enforcement besides “hello” and a wave it’s such an incredibly dirty system.

Well, the Fed's have a 98% conviction rate on all cases, and they failed to convict on 24 of 28 charges, so they obviously didn't have jack sh!t, especially not on the matter of drug charges. The feds rarely pursue a case they can't win. And 4 charges of receiving stolen property...go buy a bicycle off Facebook marketplace and let it be stolen, regardless of your knowledge and you could be charged with receiving stolen goods. Around the time this went down, I was a big Dale Jarrett fan. I was only casually interested in his suspension, and all the subsequent chaos that followed. I do remember thinking that the accusations were SEVERELY out of proportion to what you would normally see from a person like Jeremy. By that I mean a professional, with a team of people close to him year round, team owners and management always around surveying their interests, close contact with competitors daily, multiple other factors as well. I remember thinking if he was as bad as the accusations, that the thousand or so people involved in operations from Ford to ESPN to NASCAR must be the stupidest thousand people on the planet for missing the signs for 10 years. Since that's not the case, he must be mostly innocent of all of it.

Ray was cheating on his wife, but that's only part of it. If mainstream media would have gotten ahold of it before NASCAR media could put a sanctioned "twist" on it, they probably would have called Ray a creep and painted him out to be this Harvey Weinstein-like figure, implying ALL women in racing were sleeping with team owners for rides. Which, historically, has been true (Shirley Muldowney in the NHRA being a good example). It would have been a huge blow to NASCAR's credibility and female drivers, that an icon of the sport was basically just this sugar daddy and that's how women drivers got into it. Brian France had the foresight to realize how big of a mess this would be, he just handled it completely wrong.

This stuff definitely happens to good people like myself. Corruption runs deep in nearly every town in some form or fashion. My wife and my young son at about the same time as Jeremy’s incident. We were forced by the City of Allen, Texas to sell our home of 13 years and to leave the town for running a completely legal home based business. Because my old boss got jealous of all the business that came to me. Made him look bad. So he hires my neighbor to run me out of business by whatever means. So he got City Council involved and raided my home with 12 armed officers for what they said was an unauthorized fence I had built without a permit. They raided my place looking for drugs and weapons. Searched the entire place. And found nothing. They were really pissed when I showed them my permit signed by them. They proceeded to make up a bunch of false charges for City Code Violations and took me to court every week. And even after proving my innocence to the corrupt judge was always found guilty. My ex neighbor went as far as poisoning me and my family. And joined a group called Infragard which is formed by the FBI to fight terrorism in our homeland. He had me put on a terrorist watchlist. And I am a Gulf War Vet. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. Constantly pulled over and harassed on a daily basis by police. Didn’t receive any mail for years. And I have fought with police and filed complaints with Postmaster to no avail. Treated like scum of the earth. My son had a very rough time getting through high school. Being accused by my ex neighbor of being a possible school shooter. Then being deliberately failed in one of his math classes which I got turned around by superintendent. Come to find out that the teacher was an old buddy of my now ex neighbor. That all happened in 2009 and we are still feeling it. My son graduated from another High School. And was the Captain of the JROTC Shooting team. Took 1st place in State competition. And is now an Apache Helicopter Technician serving in the Army. My wife and I are living in a camper in someone’s backyard. After being wrongfully evicted by a landlord that walked in our bedroom while my wife was there alone. He was friends with the judge and had us thrown out on Veterans Day of all days. When the constables offices were closed. And then the landlord kept over $10k of our property. I tried filing theft charges on him and was denied. I even caught him red handed with a rental van backed up to our house loading up my stuff. I called Sheriff to come out and they refused to allow me to press charges. And this landlord is also a Baptist minister at a church here in East Texas. Most of the stuff he kept was my sons. Makes me sick. We appealed the eviction and won. But not before they actually threw us out into the street. Literally. My wife and I rented a uhaul and parked on side of hiway trying to load our stuff when landlord called police on us for trespassing. We had County Sheriffs and State Highway patrol harassing us while we tried getting what little they decided we could have. So here we are 2022 and what little we did get back is in storage and we are living very poorly. Still feeling like a second class citizen. Corruption is everywhere.

All this BS started over him being on Adderall prescribed by his doctor. Nascar didn't like being wrong with there drug testing. Jeremy stood his ground and payed the price. Happens all the time. Wake up people.

That was Almendinger that tested positive for adderall. Mayfield tested positive for methamphetamine. And if he did have a prescription for adderall he wouldn't be allowed to drive anyway. Three drugs were found in his system. Claritan D, adderall and methamphetamine. He admitted to taking adderall and whether or not it was prescribed it's a banned substance. Meth however is what eneded his driving career. You don't hear him trying to explain that away do you. While some of what he's saying could have a basis in reality I haven't heard him explain that yet. No idea where the truth is in all this other crap but an independent lab does those drug tests not Nascar.

I know this was a controversial interview. I’m sure NASCAR would have rather you just didn’t. I don’t know how innocent Jeremy was but I’m pretty sure he wasn’t this guilty. Sounds like some money moved around somewhere. We may never know the absolute truth. I always thought Jeremy was an alright guy and I believe I was correct.

As a business owner for 14 year, shady people would come to the barbershop to try and sell me stuff. From surfboards, computers, guns, tools, and so on. The best thing is to not buy anything, and kicked them out or else they will implicate you in their illegal activities.
