To make the flap on the back stay closed you can use your ring finger to keep it in place while you open and close the model.

Honestly I'm still looking for a good place. I used to get it from FLAX Art store in San Francisco but last time I checked they no longer sell it.. The only online place in the U.S. that sells it that I know about is www.kimscrane.com search for elephant hide paper (It's the same thing, just the name is different). Ok I just did quick search and found another retailer: www.talasonline.com/Elephant-Hide-Paper?quantity=1&number=821 ... hope that helps!
