A groundbreaking report has been released calling for the NHS to completely overhaul the care it provides to children who want to change gender.
The Cass Report has found that thousands of children who were unsure of their gender identity were effectively let down by the NHS by being given unproven treatments like hormone drugs and puberty blockers.
Report author Dr Hilary Cass has said there is "remarkably weak evidence" that the treatments improve the lives of young people.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has also said that allowing children to change their gender is 'not a natural act'.

This is life saving treatment.. mental health treatment is frequently life saving treatment.. trans kids have years of therapy and frequently have co-moorbidities of other mental health conditions that get treated alongside -suicide rates are very high in the trans community -this is literally life saving treatment

Marvyn talks over Carole - lecturing and bullying. It's joke that he talks about listening to kids. Clearly he doesn't want to listen to any female whose opinions are different to his own. Storm needs to ensure that guests allow people to finish their sentences, even if they disagree. Marvyn had his say at the beginning, and Carole listened carefully without interrupting when he was speaking. Clearly Carole feels passionately about this particular issue, and she was making very important points. She obviously knows and understands a lot more about this issue than Marvyn or Storm. As does the caller, Jane, whose teenage son is already receiving cross sex hormones in an adult clinic. Storm did not ask Jane why she has a problem with this. She showed absolutely no interest in hearing Jane's concerns. Jane brought up a court case brought by Anna Castle. This case centres around teenagers as young as 17 with ADHD, autism or Asperger’s being treated in adult gender clinics, and getting blue-lit towards cross-sex hormones and even unnecessary surgery, such as double mastectomies, with little or no safeguarding measures applied. Marvyn likens opening a bank account to making irreversible choices which can have utterly catastrophic long-term health consequences for some people. Seriously, Marvyn??? Since when did opening a bank account lead to genital atrophy or removal of sex organs? Older people have a deeper understanding and broader experience of life - show some respect and give them the opportunity to be heard.

We as people can act as masculine or as feminine and shouldn't get bullied. That is separate from which development we want or in my case minimized. If you have to watch your identity "sunset" knowing you may not get it back, it's agonizing and in that time frame I made no friends and felt discomfort. It took me 2 decades to get treated and then I had to lie and say I wanted to be a transwoman. If I was an offender I would have gotten my castration and low dose estrogen. I'm a good person and said I wouldn't do that. Now I need my medication (low dose estrogen) since I've been castrated.

I don't think Jon Went realizes their own maintenance meds will be debated next month. Jon Went has no problem discussing everyone else's regimen but these standards will be applied to adults in the near future and criminalization will become the norm for possession and sale on the black market since it will become illegal. And no I'm not convinced Jon Went didn't go through male puberty as a child. The evidence is there as there's definitely some bone density. They are already applying the study to 18-25 saying they are too immature to make their own medical decisions despite most nations having that age as a basis for conscription. Other nations who are part of a charter have done this with gay marriage saying they'll begrudgingly issue a license at age 30 or 40. They will work the grift that nobody ever benefits from HRT and stigmatize doctors who practice. I was denied for 2 weeks shy of 20 years after I spoke with a mental health professional. Most will need $100K in hair transplants and facial surgery if they "eat up" and accept full male development. Mild anorexia is also what I did because it was the only thing I had. Just enough protein and calorie restriction to shut off "the juices". Will these counseling services Jon Went mentions take into account that the young adult is unhappy and there won't be much to talk about because most do not engage in close relationships since they want a different pathway? Went is robbing every transitioners future because Went's transition didn't turn out well. Don't worry they'll have Scott Newgent on next week and move it up to 40 since that's when he transitioned and later regretted.

I would’ve liked to hear the final speaker get to talk for a bit longer, they had an interesting point about some children who know what their issues are and can articulate how they feel. Don’t underestimate the struggle that trans kids go through, I totally agree that counselling and assessment is necessary but I also think access to medication shouldn’t totally be ruled out.

It is very much stated that the brain is in development till 25 years old and up to 18 kids should wait it out. Research has also shown that Gender Dysphoria stayed with like 90% of those who use puberty blockers and only 15% with those that did not used puberty blockers. So sitting it out will help with like 75% of childeren. Other than that there still is the ''gender dysphoria'' diagnosis issue where there might be underlying issues. It all might come down to people thinking it is cool and hip to add attributes of another gender and there is also where the danger lies.
