I did a similar How To video on Jerkbaits a few weeks ago. FYI, that second color he was showing in the beginning (just after the White jerkbaits) is "Elegy Bone". It is a killer color

Anyone have thoughts about what colors to throw on overcast days? Does it matter.? I know from experience with spinner baits colors def matter depending on water clarity and cloud cover.

Scott Martin, what gear ratio baitcaster do you grow 90 percent of the time the quick spool 8s? I am looking into buying your signature rod and reel and I have been running a Diana Attila 8.3to 1 and have never thrown anything else. Just looking for some advice. Also I just picked up your travel rod for an up coming trip and man! Is that thing stout or what!

Trial and error. I always had em but never used em. Than I had a last minute tournament. Literally decided to go around 10 or 11 at night. Got up @4 and drove to the lake. I've fished it for walleye and stuff (not a lake known for any type of fishing, small chain) no trolling motor as it wasn't my boat, 16 ft w/ 25 merc. Brought 2 anchors. Without the trolling motor I was really crippled. Did have an HDS 5 though. Talking to guys before as I planned on fishing some drops, very clear lake. Everyone had poppers tied up but I had left my topwater box at the house. Fished for hours without a bite. Then said screw it, went to 2 different spots the next 4-5 hours. Caught 2 keeper bass on a megabass vision oneten. That's all I threw all day and those are the only fish I ended up weighing in. I'm not saying the boat was an excuse but it definitely didn't help me fish how I do. Finished mid pack on a lake I never caught a bass before and only fished a handful of times. Now I always tie a jerkbait on when the bites slow. I know I can catch em. As is most baits😉

Here in Sweden a jerkbait doesn't have a "spoon" in the front. Most of the jerkbaits here are "shad-shaped" and so on. The big (what you call jerkbait) we call "wobblers/wobbler".
