@@Blankethaver That’s so special about diminished chords. You can resolve them in many directions. 😁

If you slow down Jacob to 50% playback speed you'll see what his secret is; He's he really vast happy stoner who's drunk on life and completely fearless, it seems. And that is of course the best way to be. Also: I think it shows us the strength of absolutely being in the moment, which is the secret to all success. He gives every interaction 100% of his attention and that's how he makes music; no stress, no haste, no tension just flow.

He doesn't touch weed, so definitely not a stoner 😊

@@fionakiely3505 Is this information confirmed?
@FortisV3 ай бұрын
@@lemoanfr I don't think it's confirmed. He's been clear about not being opposed to drinking alcohol every now and then. But just following his stuff it's probably a safe bet that he doesn't really fancy weed if he ever had tried it

Why do you want to transition to the dominant chord when you switch keys? When he shows the "semi tone down" thing from a diminished chord, he always builds that note into the dominant chord of the new key. Is there a reason? Just trying to understand the pattern here. Putting the F# down a semi tone is basically a F 2nd inversion. But thats not useful I guess?
@connorkonen57703 жыл бұрын
It’s because the dominant 7 chord of the new key is the “five” chord of that new key. It just makes the modulation stronger and more intensional. The F second inversion chord that you’re referring to would be the F dominant 7 chord in the key of Bb major, which is the “five” chord that I’m referring to. So by transitioning to the “five” chord, you are basically setting up the key that you are changing to, which solidifies it more and allows for smoother voice leading and such, which is why it works so well If that makes any sense.
