I loved this game as a child, and there are two things that I remember; Being scared shitless of the Ring Wraiths and being stuck there because I didn't want to progress until I found out about distraction mechanics, and being amazed that when you fired an arrow into Orcs, the arrow stayed on the body. Ahhh, the old days of gaming. I miss it.

IIRC, Gandalf does handle the ring in the book, but it's the idea of him not taking ownership of it. Like...if you give me your phone to show me a picture, I am holding it, but it's not MY phone. If Gandalf had accepted the ring in ownership, he would have been used by the ring, but he can physically touch it carefully without issue.

I remember getting this game after playing The Two Towers... boy was that an experience... it's funny cause the game gets like 10 times easier after those first couple of levels too but the start is a nightmare.

YYYYAAASSSSSSS, skip hours ahead and hes still on the first mission, the prophecy is foretold. Bro, this level pissed me off when i was a kid. You're not alone. Yet alas, now i play and love the shit out of stealth games, and was able to go through all the metro games on max difficulty, sneaking through the whole way, and loving every second of it. Now Im in love with night missions in Escape from Tarkov.
