Ludwig is the ceo of offbrand and he still streams. I don't think this will be the end of jerma streams since he definately is a born entertainer and wants to keep doing his own event streams
@katlicks Жыл бұрын
If it cuts into anything it'll be his own big projects (Dollhouse, Baseball, etc) as it will likely replace them as his "Big project" productions. Jerma streamed with all of those going on, so it'll be the same deal now too.

I don't know why people expect Jerma to play Yakuza again lol like If you watched him longer than few months then you should know what type of games he likes and loves to play more than once, Yakuza are not the games that interested him, I don't know why chat is so suprised, also BOTW where a lot of streams was chat getting pissy that he doesn't do stuff they want or the way they want lmao

If u want someone who plays through and without errors pick another streamer, we r here for the silliness first and foremost

Yeah I don't watch/expect jerma to play the latest might hyped games. UNLESS it's the ones that he would clearly play. And I love him but would he pay attention to the story and take it seriously. Like he stays quiet during cutscenes but idk.

Im happy for jerma, he has mentioned before that he would stop streaming if he couldn't do big projects anymore. So this genuinely seems like hed enjoy this, even if he does quit streaming.

Here putting in my guess that Jerma's retirement stream is going to be him comically dying in some way and holding a very non-serious funeral where various hijinks ensue and other streamers come on to roast him while he lays in the coffin trying not to laugh.
@duckheadbob Жыл бұрын
It would be interesting to find out how many hours Jeremy is expected to work a week as Offbrand CCO Because working 40 hours a week leaves pretty much no time for streaming - and hes gonna be exhausted and not wanting todo it (speaking from experience as someone who did a bit of streaming while working a 9-5 project manager position, its goddamn brutal.) Really hope jerma has carved out a good contract for himself. I wonder if he realizes how much work a "real job" is, even when you really enjoy the work. For example, I HIGHLY doubt the "stream for several days straight when the elden ring dlc releases" is going to happen. It's gonna come out and he is going to have several projects at offbrand going on that he can't step away from.
@blobbem Жыл бұрын
He's going to be the Chief Creative Officer, so he's going to be involved with _all_ the projects that Offbrand will be putting together. I wouldn't be surprised if that involves quite a few hours per week, unless hardly any streamers want to actually do much with Offbrand. Jerma rarely streams enough as is, so the change might not be noticeable.
@katlicks Жыл бұрын
It's most likely going to take over the time he used for his own projects (And replace them, since it'll be his creative vision and production), and he still streamed while organizing those and practicing for them. The biggest worry is really just how much creative control he has, and what the contract's like, I really want him to have his passion and give us more great big shows, but I don't want him to feel frustrated and cucked out of his own creative vision, and like he can't escape to do what he really wants to do with his big shows.
@beufis6979 Жыл бұрын
Feel like his streams are gonna be cut to less than half because of the exhaustion. Happy for him, but at the same time it sucks for us.

I really like Jerma and have greatly enjoyed his content over the last year or so from when I first discovered him. I do, however, think that this will change how and when he streams, and probably lead him to doing less and less of streaming. We of course won't know the outcomes until months from now. I sincerely hope the absolute best for him since he has and continues to entertain us constantly. All good things must come to an end, and i hope this isn't the end just yet.

kinda disappointing news actually, I know he's playing it off like nothings going to change but he barely streams anymore as is and now he's got a decent chunk of his creative energy wrapped up in a permanent project cycle. I really miss the pre 2020 days when he seemed like he REALLY enjoyed streaming as opposed to now when he feels like he just tolerates it so he can get to his big shows. I've been watching jerma consistently since the tf2 days so to watch him slow down and get way less enthusiastic in real time is a huge bummer.

he's just waiting to do more "big shows"? buddy, he hasn't done a single big show on his own channel this year. he literally said in january that this would a "chill" year wheres he'd get back back his old-school games-focused roots. has he wound down a bit since last year? oh no doubt about it, but i dont think he's lost his edge. he still plays old ps2 games, he still plays with ster and soon he's gonna be playing tf2 again. almost feels like nothing's really changed at all, and i say this as an eu viewer who's really been screwed over by his later stream times lately, but that's life. if this new job really is the beginning of the end or something, take it on the chin dude. its been an amazing run, and like he said, the man's never really ever gonna leave us. things ain't so bad.
