Jerry Beck talks about helping John K while he was pitching shows to other animation studios and later Nickelodeon, one of which later became Ren and Stimpy. While that happened Jerry Beck and Carl Mack did the dubbing for many late 80's anime films during that time.

Call John K an abuser if you want. (Could be. How would anybody who wasnt there know?) Worst case scenario he's also a great hero of the art of animation, dragging it kicking and screaming out of the doldrums of corporate lifelessness back to a level of greatness that the world hadn't seen since Termite Terrace. And may never see again at this rate. So let's try to be a little more appreciative & a little less self-righteous prigs every once in a while, mmm-kay? It'll be good for our souls.
