This recording is such a treat to share with Heads who haven’t heard it. I’m so incredibly grateful for this capture.

Today is the second anniversary of my mom's passing. I played the Maria Muldaur version at her funeral, per her request. This is absolutely beautiful. I really needed that!✌💖🌟

listening to this song wearing headphones is very ideal and you’ll also get an added bonus of hearing the audio recording that includes audience participation - these four musicians did exceptionally well together; and it is fortunately captured for all of us for all eternity

It's funny my son is 6 and we sing and sing all their songs. I got hooked about 6 years ago. The one phrase that sums it all up to me is "stay grateful" thanks for this beautiful song.

Gods, listen to Nicky's piano. This particular show taken as a whole had an odd feel to it - I was there for all the local JGB shows in 1975. The 20 December show was brilliant from end to end. But this one had moments of glimmer and perfection. Thank you for posting it.

+Deborah Grabien- That's not. Nicky Hopkins. This is 1980 and Hopkins was only in JGB for a few months in 1975. This is Ozzie Ahlers.

Nope. This is 1975 and that's Nicky. December 19th was the first of two Winterland shows. The show on the 20th was one of the best ever.

+Deborah Grabien Holy crap--you know what? I think when this video ended it switched to one from the Capitol Theater 1980, but the comments for this clip remained. Yipe! Yeah--I'd have never been so forceful in my correction otherwise. Very sorry. Yes. And not just Nicky, but the amazing, masterful Ronnie Tutt on drums! One of my idols.

I was in the wings dancing just offstage for both shows. If you have the following night, it's a mindblower; Nicky's soloing on what I call "The Jingle Bells Variations" takes me right back to the fact that I missed it at the time, because I was frantically searching for something nonalcoholic for Nicky for a totally dry throat. I'm so glad for tapers. I have the entire 20 December if you need it.

We should take this private, most likely, but if you want to message me on facebook or email me (sf_deb@yahoo.com), I can talk about some serious rareties, and how I come to have them.

If I could spell i would spell out the fact that 09 1975 - 12 1975 is some of the best recorded music under the sun - it must have been the roses - naughty nicky hopkins’ - careful what you wish for - and, be grateful for what you have

One of the best things about JGB is that some of the best performances aren't from JG.

Nicky Hopkins just crushes this song. Jerry's vocals- ethereal. I listen to this song many times during the week. Inspiring! Check out www.panicstream.net/vault/jerry-Garcia-10-disc-compilation/ This and MANY other JGB greats to stream.
