At the age of 21, Jerry Lee Lewis arrived in Memphis, Tennessee in 1956. The Louisiana native then moved in with his cousin’s family in the Coro Lake neighborhood in South Memphis. It was here that Jerry would meet his cousin’s daughter, Myra Gale Brown, and eventually marry her when she was only 13-years-old. I told you he was controversial, right? Despite the enormous success that he’d quickly find as a musician, once the wider public at large found out about Myra, the scandal derailed Jerry’s career for more than a decade, sending him into hiding where he would wind up spending a lot of his free-time at a ranch located on Malone Road in Nesbit, just south of Memphis in DeSoto County.

Definitely incorrect, Miss Frankie WILL NOT meet you at the house in Ferriday, as she has been dead for a few years now. Miss Frankie was an awesome person and truly loved her family and was very proud of them. RIP Miss Frankie and Jerry Lee.

@ Juan , You are wrong !! --- Jerry Lee Lewis was Playing the Piano since he was 8 years old. --- he first started with " Silent Night " --- YES , he would Practice Playing the Piano for many , many hours a day. --- Yes he would go to the Local Black clubs in his neighbourhood. --- you can check out for yourself with who he would Play with in the clubs etc. --- he will tell you that he had never heard of many Piano Players at his young age. As you may know that he would listen to the radio , Louisiana Hayride & other shows , Hank Williams ,Jimmie Rodgers & Al Jolson --- YES , he also had two weeks of Piano lessons , However, he didn't carry on with them ,as he wanted to Play the Piano in his way , in his style !! ----
