Man this comment took the words right out of my head. Earlier today I was thinking Kobe is such a big deal to so many people that The entire sports world has been cut into two. Before Kobe and after Kobe. I always watched the sports shows throughout the day and so my KZbin was just randomly playing them and it was showing all the ones from like last week or even before and they're pretty much happy talking about the super bowl or what's going on in the NBA and then the last two days it's just like basketball Jesus died man it's so heartbreaking. I've been crying here and there since yesterday. I feel sick to my stomach like my heart's been ripped out of my chest. If it wasn't for Kobe I don't know how miserable I would have been when I was 10 years old. I love that guy. last night I was walking out of the grocery store and I balled up my receipt and I threw it into the trash can and I always say Kobe when I do that. Always have always will. And I walked to my car with tears in my eyes

Yesterday showed again that we have to really appreciate the sacrifices that these men go through just to entertain the fans. Micah Maggio , you're 100% correct. Most athletes are there for a payday as would I if I had the talent. Jerry is a quiet, rather shy man, but he obviously wants to convey his love for Kobe and just what a great loss this is for everyone who knew Kobe and for all his fans. People keep saying LA will never forget, the city of LA is feeling this so hard right now, that LA has taken such a great loss....and you know what, it absolutely has but let me just say, ive been a major fan of the NBA since I was first able to remember, since i was about 4. Im 35 now, I live in Orlando and ive been a Magic fan that whole time, ive never been a Lakers fan or anything like that. But, what I do KNOW is that this is NOT just an LA thing. This has had me broken since I found out the news of Kobe's passing. I was in a store when I first heard and I literally just fell to the floor in a ball and cried for 10 minutes in public before a lady came over and reached down and told me "Its gonna be okay honey, were all feeling this right now." It caught me off how it hit me. This is NOT just an LA thing. Sports, Humanity, the WORLD suffers over this and I think this is more universal than anything else. If LA has taken such a great loss and is suffering great pain than LA is the new term for the whole universe...

I could've listened to this for hours. The story of Kobe's teenage years onward to the end to his life told by one of the only people in the world worthy of telling it. But nope, ESPN had to cut him off mid-sentence. I hope Jerry writes a book.

There are a few rare & special people, born on a mission to achieve & lead like few others: Mozart, Lincoln, Patton, MLK Jr. JFK, Hendrix, John Lennon, Bob Marley, Robin Williams, Andy Irons... Kobe Bryant. While there are many more Greats, the unique gift shared by these gifted souls was how they lived with a singular mission. - Some carried the burden against the greatest of inhumanities. Others became the most inspiring of their craft. We need both. For in war and in peace we need inspiration and guidance. Something so valuable that Kobe shared with all the greats on this list is genuineness. The truly inspiring greats reach us by showing us their humanity. Kobe, whether on days he was winning of failing, did not live with pretense. He always showed us who he was. Through his efforts he also reflected to us who we could be if we do our best. . . Such Greats are a gift to us, to show us what is possible. Why they were taken, after their greatest battles had been won - yet before they could just live to enjoy the rest of life with us, we may never know. Kobe Bryant thrilled the world from the first moment he lifted off - doing the impossible by rising out of Jordan’s shadow. When he stepped on the court, we believed anything was possible - 81 ! Five rings is one of his greatest feats, especially coming in the Duncan, Wade, Nowitski, Iverson, Lebron, Kidd, Garnett, Pierce era. His light may have shown brightest when, with the Olympics and the true World Championship on the line, all the greats turned to Kobe - and he took it home for all of us. For so many of us, you are the MVP of an entire era. Kobe we were also there for all of your mistakes. You had to grow up under the world’s first virtual microscope. Through this you showed us what devotion to hard work and focus on personal growth can do. You showed us how to survive in this new world, for aren’t we all under the microscope during these times? Like the rest of us, you were flawed. More than most of us, you were at times perfect. For both of these reasons you are hero to millions, at least, world wide. Kobe, you thrilled us, taught us about work ethic, stoicism against doubt & pain, and the journey to learning to be a teammate. You grew from being the brash kid into being the man which a whole league men consider to be their big brother. Most of all, every time you stepped on the court, you made us believe that for you anything was possible. When you stepped off the court we also believed anything was possible. You took a light with you when you left the league, and simply went and won an Oscar two years later! Kobe, there so much more that you could have achieved, and your beautiful family you could have shared so much more life with. I just learned of your daughter, Gianna, we never had a chance to truly know her. Prayers for you both. What more you both would have shown your light upon, we will never know. Prayers for the flight mates, to whom you reached in generosity. May the family and friends and greater community find some light in their stories, to carry forth for what they could have been. God Bless you Kobe Bryant. Thank you for inspiring my dad as a young man. Thank you for inspiring me as I grew up. For you, in whatever goal we are facing, we will take the shot. We will never forget Black Mamba.

Watching Kobe growth as young man. God's peace on Kobe's family, and the others families who were in this accident. While you are here it is important how you treat God, how you treat others, and you treat yourself, and how hard and smart you work. Team is awesome concept when it is working from Godly prospective. Are we willing to put in the work from a Godly perspective. Not by power, not by might, but by the SPIRIT OF GOD. Only GOD can carry weight, yes we have a role and a responsibility. How will you approach this day. Do your part and trust GOD. Blessing to all.
