The battery connector retainer was obviously installed backwards. I went back and re-watched the removal and it plainly shows it opposite of re-installed position. May be why battery didn’t fit back into place without being forced.

Apple designed the watch like a cheap disposable one but used good components. The watch battery should be easy to replace. Screws with silicon seals are much better than adhesive. Stupid irresponsible designers. There should be a plastic or a metal frame to keep the glass cover in place over a silicon seal. Apple series 8 ultra costs over $800 so replacing the battery every 2 years is necessary. No one should upgrade every two years.

@@Tobe580 well my serise 6 has a extra water proof layer on the inside so it works for mr but i dont know about your watch :( im realy sorry but there are alot of types of glues that can work just look for them, :) and also if you be carefull u can open back up.

Not really, there are original adhesives but i doubt it’ll be as strong as when new! Even the glue he applied is good and water resistant bur wouldn’t rely much on dipping it in water after opening, i work with this glue also.

You can buy a replacement HDCKU kit for $15 (shipping may be restricted). The first step calls for using a razor blade to open the screen. I confused that with the "opening tool", which isn't the razor blade. I used an exacto to open the screen and cracked the glass on the edge. Later, I found a super thin razor blade in a pink container with FLYING EAGLE and a bunch of chinese on the front, Chinese and a bunch of numbers on the back.

If you notice he uses a screen separator table to heat the glue up before he tries and separates the screen from the sides of the watch. I have just a thing that I use for working on Android phones when I replace the glass only. He just said it for 80° C and just leave it on there for about 4 minutes and use gloves because the watch is hot and the glass comes right off because you soften the glue around the periphery of the watch
