I remember Sally Jessy Raphael as the disciplinarian of talk show hosts who got onto unruly kids who cussed on her show. "You use the F-word one more time....." was my favorite quote from her to the cussing kids. I also loved it when she called Sgt. Julu and Sgt. Peele to help Sally set the kids straight HARD!!! Sally, please do brand new shows of unruly kids who cuss and do ugly things and send more Sgt. Julus to set them straight!!! Those kids LOVE discipline!!! Sgt. Julu was my favorite boot camp disciplinarian to those kids.

She was part of the Golden Era of Talk shows in the 1980's & 1990's, up until 2002. People don't realize how hugely popular she was, she got 80 million viewers each week and won weny daytime Emmys and Golden Globes. At a time when we had a plethora of talk shows on all at the same time, we had Geraldo Rivera, Phil Donahue, Oprah Whifrey, The Montel William Show, Ricki Lake,Jerry Springer, The Rosey O' Donnell, The Leeza show, Jenny jones, Maury Povich show, Not including the explosion of late night talk show like David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, Arsenal Hall, Charlie Rose ect....it was truly a remarkable Time for talk shows. I remember my mom watching Sally Jessy Raphael every morning, when I got up for school, and after I showered and got dressed, went into the living room, and my mom was watching Sally, I remember being intrigued and interested in the subjects they were talking about on the show and being bummed out I had to leave for school and only watch a few minutes of Sally. ...but boy when I didn't go to school and faked a illness or ditched sometimes, I watched all the talk shows and soap operas back then, especially when the summer came along.
