Is it possible for irreconcilable enemies to live for centuries next door to each other? Or are there perhaps more colors in this palette than just black and white?
Jerusalem’s total population is about one million people. There is West Jerusalem, the part that is under Israeli control. Then, there is East Jerusalem, and there are Palestinian neighborhoods that are home to 370 thousand people, and there are Israeli neighborhoods that are home to some 200 thousand people, and there are disputed areas. The international status of East Jerusalem remains uncertain till these days. Now, with the unprecedented escalation of the armed conflict, most likely any stranger in East Jerusalem will raise suspicions at the very least... And that’s exactly where our reporter Alex Pototsky is going now.

I've traveled there for 10 days in 2015. Was an amazing trip and in that short time, my impression was overall harmony between the different people(s), religions and cultures. You really did not feel much of the tension and conflicts. Right now I would not visit, though, for various reasons, one of them being safety.

was just there, right before the events occurred. been to the tomb of tombs of King David . Mary and Jesus. Room of the Last Supper , city of David, Temple tunnels, Chapel of Ascension, the western wall. the Garden Tomb and Church of the Holy Sepulchre . Dome of the Rock and Al Asqa. Bethlehem. West Bank, Palestine. went alone. it was something I'll never forget. The Palestinians were very kind to me. learned a lot! i walked on the eastern side of Jerusalem above the Mt. of Olives alone with no problems. as you know, you can't cross the border without a special license plate. one thing hilarious about the west bank is that they have cafes called Stars and Bucks that copies Starbucks lol, they even fake their logo too 😅 great video, very accurate and informative for people who aren't very educated on this subject. perfectly presented. 🥇

How so? When the British mandate ended Arabs attacked Israel and Israel defended itself, and has continued doing so to this day. Israel is not going away. Canaan was the name of the land before Palestine, and it was the Kingdom of Israel and Judah who ruled there. The name was changed to spite the Jewish people by the Romans to Palestine. It has been controlled by many different peoples and empires yet it was founded as a holy land by the Israeli peoples who fled Egypt by Moses.
