I went to the Hamas Controlled District of Lebanon / Shocking Life Inside the Most Tense region

People, today we’re in Lebanon. We are outside of Tripoli and about to enter the Palestinian refugee camp where our reporter Alex Pototsky won’t be able to shoot openly, at least at the start.
Alex is making his way through the narrow streets into one of the largest camps for Palestinian refugees where reporters are usually not allowed. They are routinely turned away. You have to have a permission for pretty much anything around here, obtained from the local authorities that are mostly autonomous from the Lebanese government. Due to the ongoing armed conflict between the neighboring state of Israel and the Gaza Strip, the situation is even more complicated. Tensions inside the camp have increased causing unrest from time to time.
Alex has come there to show you how people live in a refugee camp. In camps like this, there are Palestinians, Syrians and even locals from Lebanon. Today, we’ll see what life is like for people who have lost their homes to war.

May peace one day come for those people of Palestine who want to make life better for their neighbors, children and families and may peace come to the Israelis who want the same. Was not Palestines who declare war on Israel in 1948, was the Arab League - Egypt, Iraq, Transjordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Yemen. @@davidcahill4670 You could argue CNN is frequently American propoganda, but it also has decent and illuminating reporting at times. I think it's possible to address the proximity he has to Russian pundits without totally tossing out his work, I do think it is very valuable to examine how that bias could impact his reporting. I guess the closer he gets to issues that concern Russia more than others the less likely I am to consider his viewpoints without cross-examination from a different source, if that makes sense. The idea of truly unbiased reporting is sort of difficult to actually see in fruition and most of the time the understanding is that you will attempt to achieve it even if perfection is not possible.

Remember that Anton was an employee of Russian federal media and worked for a television show with staged call-in questions answered directly by Putin. Always view his videos with a healthy skepticism for the subtle pro-russian portrayal that will be present. This may be intentional, or it may be an artifact of the man's upbringing as a Russian citizen. Skepticism is good and healthy and should be directed toward all media, but this channel deserves some extra questioning. It's still valuable journalism, but we always have to ask "what wasn't shown"? What isn't being said? Is there a bias? Note how the 1948 war was not portrayed as a joint declaration of war on Israel by the Arab alliance of multiple countries, but as a knee-jerk response by Palestinian freedom fighters. Or how the British mandate was "declared expired". The reality is that the war on Israel was a coordinated effort by multiple Arab countries to eliminate Israel once British presence had withdrawn. The mandate was planned to end when it was initially formed in the 1920's and the Palestinian movement was known for years prior to the end of the mandate. History being subtly altered also subtly alters peoples' perceptions of that history. Be skeptical!

I'm sorry, but there are a lot of false claims in this video. First of all Israel never drove anyone out of the country. The united arab army did. They said that whichever arab stays in Israel during the attack on Israel will be murdered with the rest of the jews and also that they could go back after they annihilate Israel. Whoever didn't flee lives with a full citizenship in Israel. Second of all, Fatah is not a peaceful orgnization and they never negotiate anything with Israel. That was a name given by the Ottomans and then the British occupation to the land. There was never a country named palestine. There where "Judeans" as in people from Judea, and there where "Hebrews" and then there where "Pharisees". Take your pick, but not all "Judeans" where Hebrews or Pharisees. There where also multiple languages spoken there and more than 14 different groups of Semitic peoples, including what became known as the Palestinians today which can be considered a mixture of all those groups from back then. The archeological evidence regarding an exclusively "Hebrew" group is almost non-existent and the ancient Hebrews where, at best, "Tribes" or families (12 tribes? Sounds familiar?). Most of their recorded references are also copied from several other groups that existed in other regions, including the story of Moses (who very likely never existed). Here's another one; the Majority of Jews today (over 95%) are Ashkenazi from Easter Europe who mass converted a few hundred years ago and have no ancestral ties to the land in question.
