Relegation is when the team is demoted to the minor leagues. It would be like the Baltimore Orioles being kicked out of Major League Baseball and having to play in AAA against other minor league teams from then on. It is estimated that a team loses close to 100 million dollars a year when they get relegated. It's... devastating.

Again, the whole thing with Roy and Keeley could've easily been blown out of proportion. Instead Roy thought it through logically and came to a mature conclusion. I do love the Keeley press conference. Brilliant. Both of these characters could've very easily been one note. It's almost like they're real people. Imagine such a thing. Characters being written and acted like real people with functional brains. They don't leave certain things out of what they're saying so there can be a misunderstanding to create artificial drama. What a revelation.

The reason that Rebecca is still hanging on with the scheme at this point despite all the inroads that Ted has made with her is just indicative of how deeply rooted the pain is that Rupert has caused her. This is a great part of her character arc.

His "I'll be your Underhills anytime" line is from Fletch but it's a stretch since this isn't the same situation since he's fully aware of what's happening and it's being charged to his card where in the movie Fletch overhears the name and uses it to make it seem like he's supposed to be there then he puts a bunch of stuff on their account. Nothing makes a joke work like explaining it. It's much better in the movie though. It's a highly quotable movie. Chevy Chase was at the top of his game. It's a brilliant movie. Very funny. I also think they squeezed the Underhills line in because for a few years they were trying to get a Fletch reboot off the ground and Jason Sudeikis was the top choice to play Fletch. Anyway, you should totally check it out. You can watch the sequel, Fletch Lives, as well but it's not on the same level. The first one is a classic.

I think Rebecca has gotten so into the mindset that she needs to cause Rupert pain, that even when she has a moment of happiness with the team, or realizes that she likes Ted and all, that sabotage is her default. She doesn’t realize that there’s no purpose to it anymore. That’s her goal and as soon as she sees another opportunity to upset Rupert, she immediately jumps on it. That doesn’t excuse her actions at all, but I think explains why she hasn’t given up yet.

Anthony Stewart Head plays a giant kind of vampire bat alien who feeds on children in an episode of Doctor Who. Rupert is worse. Did they have to call him Rupert as well? Make him even closer to Giles. I don't know exactly how many names there are but it's gotta be at least 5, maybe even 6 others. Couldn't they have used one of those?

Here's a repost of my comment. Quick primer on soccer in England: The league that AFC Richmond is in in the show in the English Premier League. There are 20 teams in the Premier League each season. At the end of each season, the teams in positions 18-20 are relegated to the 2nd tier of soccer in England, called the English Championship, and replaced by the top 3 teams from that lower league. What AFC Richmond is facing is being dropped to a lower league where the television and sponsorship money is significantly less. Many of their current players may actually have it in their contract that they are released or sold to another team if AFC Richmond is relegated. They would then have to find new players and spend at least a season in that lower league trying to earn promotion back to the Premier League. In England, the current structure is: Premier League Championship League One League Two National League 3 tiers of increasingly smaller regional leagues
