Happy Sardine Sunday! Great information from the voice. The Hill's Shills are always saying trust the science and a certified vet when denouncing raw/homemade diets. And here you show those same vets aren't as up to standard as they want us to believe. It was my understanding that packaged broth for humans has too much sodium for cats. I would make my own bone broth anyway, but it still seems to be wrong in an "approved" recipe.

Yes I agree! Lol hills shills 😹 My mom's vet gave her a dog food recipe from hill's. It was copyrighted in 1989 (as old as me LOL) and the recipe called for an entire loaf of wonder bread. I wish I was joking...

Hi Jess and Jericho. Well, I pulled the trigger and got another kitty on Friday. Been 3 1/2 years since my Smirnoff passed. He came with the wood pellet litter from the foster home. Yikes. That barn smell is something to get used to. 😻

Jess I buy my cat Turkey ground and also beef ground sometimes I do turkey or beef another time. How much Lean or fat should i buy . The beef buy is 85% lean and the fat is 15% fat. When I do make Turkey ground I buy 15 % fat or 7 % fat.….....… is these amount of fat is good or should I less fat like 7%. I noticed that the beef is very greasy 15% fat

It depends entirely on the other ingredients you're using and the recipe you're using. I don't do 1:1 diet formulations at the moment.

I never understood why we add so many fruits and vegetables to cat food. My cats had been struggling with so many foods and it ended up being an intolerance to peas. I feed a wet food diet and so many foods have peas and pea protein and I have to always double check foods.

Veg and fruit aren't necessary when we use a lot of meat variety. But some supplements would be necessary like vitamin E and a few others depending on the ingredient variety we use.

I think I know why. In the wild, the cat will eat all the stuff in the stomach of the birds or mice. So these ingredients are supposed to mimick that.

Hi, Jess and Jericho! One of my cats has been dealing with crystals and a UTI. She is on her second round of antibiotics. Her vet prescribed one of those dry kibble foods, but the ingredients looked way worse than the high protein, no grain kibble I've been giving my cats already. I have now been giving my cats more wet food and adding water or bone broth, but I have noticed that all 7 of my cats are now drinking less water. Is this normal because of the wet food?

Hi Jess, is it ok to feed my cats chicken thighs all the time? They seem to not liking chicken breast. I tried to mix both, nah, not eating it. I have yet to try other kind of meats. Maybe beef is next. When I am ready that is😂

I wouldn't give my cat anything without the taurine rich ingredients or the supplement in it. There are a lot of KZbinrs out there that don't feed their cats any organ meats or taurine supplement and have people think they are feeding their cats right.

I have gotten so many comments about people feeding muscle meat only just purely because there is taurine in it. Yes taurine is essential but there are many more nutrients cats need! You are right, organ meats are essential 😻
