My first is 19 months and I can say that the first 12 months was easily the hardest year of my life. Nothing can really prepare you for the ride that is postpartum. I’m now pregnant with my second and although it was planned I’m still terrified. Post partum was hard enough without a toddler in the mix.

One year in and everyday I hope this ppd would go away. But I am taking medication and going to therapy so it’s been helping. But talking about it does help a lot. ❤️I do it for her and that’s something I keep telling myself and it’s enough to keep me going.

I wish people would’ve talked more openly about postpartum after I had my son or even before so I knew what to possibly expect and I wouldn’t have felt so alone. I remember feeling so hopeless and helpless but I had no idea why. Thankfully my dr noticed and that’s when I was made aware of how “normal” postpartum actually is. I remember feeling so much guilt because I had longed for a baby following the stillbirth of my daughter 5 years prior so I would beat myself up thinking I shouldn’t be feeling sad or overwhelmed. Keep talking about it Jess because I promise you it’s helping more people than you can even imagine ❤

5:03 you’re not complaining at all, love, you’re just being honest and vulnerable. And more mamas go through it than you’d think but don’t say anything for that same fear of “complaining”. You’re doing great, you’re such an amazing mama, and I look up to you as a mom, woman, wife, daughter of Christ. Don’t be too hard on yourself, make sure to fill your own cup and take at least 15 minutes to yourself each day. You got this mama ❤

But I just want you to know that you are such and encouragement and I look up to you! I just got married a couple of months ago and am learning a lot of new things. As I’m striving to be a more loving wife and more Christlike, I often think of you. Even from your videos, I can tell that you are so meek and kind and gentle, and I’d love to be more like that. I’m almost 8 months postpartum and I struggled with PPD hard for the first 4 months. Sending you strength❤ for sleep, the only thing that helped me was making sure he was eating enough during the day and getting on a schedule

Going from 1-2 kids was definitely way harder than going from 0-1! So definitely don’t feel like you’re complaining. Postpartum is hard but thankfully just a season!! You’re doing amazing. ❤ Also, my family has a kids show called Gus Plus Us! It’s so cute and fun. Your daughter might enjoy it :) they also now have a yoto card!

All I would be thinking about is the dinner party epidode 😂. Other than him, I would love to have thanksgiving with Bree from Desperate Housewives. I don't know if you know this but a study has been released showing that moms who had pitocin during labor had higher rates of ppd. This was my experience with my induction and postpartum as well, vs my unmedicated spontaneous labor.
