@@LansonOneI'm surprised chap. I'm a typical Mzansi fan and really thought we would miss guys like Am. Gents found a way. How you win a WC with no recognised hooker is crazy, but then again, you have to be crazy and resourceful to live in this country. 2019 and 2023. That's crazy. Weird that Boks can potentially go 3peat

Jesse Kriel reminds me so much of Cristiano Ronaldo - Absolutely relentless machine and works even when he should be resting. First one in last one out. He even sacrificed his matric rage for a shot at going pro. What a role model man 👏

I would love to see a comparison of physique between Ronaldo, considered the most trained football player, to Jesse Kriel. Football vs Rugby (football), which football wins? I suspect Rugby wins.

The biggest schoolboy game in the world is the Paarl interschools between Paarl Boys High and Paarl Gimnasium. The first team game will be played in front of 25000 plus spectators. The game is so big that the intrerschools game is played at the towns stadium because the schools stadiums are too small for all the spectators.

It's wonderful to see how Jesse has evolved over the years, he's become a great 13 known for his defense, but history will always remember him for missing THAT tackle that gave japan that last try in their victory over the boks on that dreadful day in Brighton in 2015. Perhaps that's why the Japanese love him so much.

AMAZING Interview. Listening to Jesse brings back a lot of memories in high school rugby. He was TINY in u14 but his brother Dan was HUGE and had a scary hand off🤣but Jesse had the brains on the field thats for sure.

Rugby I certainly a tough physical sport. I played No. 12/13 school rugby and club a bit (knee injury put me out the sport) But a I don't think you had a punched lung and continue playing. Could've been a bruise to the pulmonary and muscular system. Ref. 3:39min. Into Podcast. A punched lung would put you in excruciating pain unable to walk and breathe properly, with immediate hospitality ER attention. And they can't administer anesthesia because the whole lung would collapse, so the procedure is done with full awareness and specialized pain treatment. Definitely not good thing to experience. You got to be tough.

I'll never understand the Jesse Kriel hype train.. 7 years and he's only ever been good vs terrible sides, never seen him have a great game vs a great side. He scored a try vs All Blacks in Pretoria when Willemse made his debut, he didn't do much in that game either. He lacks rugby IQ, he's good at what he's programmed to do, defense.
