One of the most important concept you brought out that resonates the most in your video and about street photography ; is that your suppose to take the picture by not imposing yourself on the subjects space... this is so true, as a street photographer, I have seen 100s of street photographers with their 70-200mm (you know who I’m talking about...hey you with the zoom lens...) pathetically impose themselves into the subjects space, even with a zoom lens (these are the photographers that don’t know how to use a zoom lens, they literally poke the lens into the subjects face...) that’s why Leica is the perfect street photography camera. I had a M6 but put it away when digital was slowly being recognized as the game changer in taking pictures, now with the Q, I decided to fall back on my skills as a street photographer by not imposing myself, the shutter function is a great tool of silent shooting....great video ..

The video is done so aesthetically beautiful. The voice over was in perfect sync. The slo-mo added required amount of drama. Overall 100% satisfied watching this. Yet, I can't believe 61 weirdos would unlike something so beautiful. I can't even imagine any reasons to unlike this. Anyway :)

What is the current max flash sync speed? 1/500s or 1/2000s? (From my understanding, the Q has a leaf shutter, so it should be able to sync at all shutter speeds)

Terry JP - there are a few things my iPhone won’t do such as adjust aperture or exposure. But there are less expensive camera options from Leica other makers that can do what the Leica can do. I have a lot of Nikon pro equipment, but wanted something smaller. So I bought a Leica D-lux 109 for $995 US and it works well for street photography. Hauling around a big Nikon D3 was a bit too much for that kind of shooting.

I do not use viewfinder, and simply hold Q with one hand and shoot away at any positions. I can really steal lots of candid moments, as people don't notice or think I am just checking my camera. The very act of holding the camera to your eye level scare many people, as they know that you are taking pictures. Anyway, I am not conventional.

What about the photographers that have great talent but are poor and can't buy a 5000$ camera? And of course I am not talking about me. I would love to use one, but this is about the chance of really having your camera. Sad to see this commercial value being more important than than the moral - model - art-quality value.

A good street photography camera with a similar field of view to the Q would be a Ricoh GR II. Many street photographer regard it very highly. Just Google it for more into. You can get it for 400 usd used. Save up for it!

Too expensive for the quality, user friendly functions and handing. This is kind like luxury stuff. You could spend 4000dollars on dslr pro with lens.

Tory9242 You could buy a DSLR and a "pro lense" for the same price but I did the opposite. I sold a Nikon body, two lenses and Fuji X100T to buy this camera and I have to say it's an absolute joy. I feel everything I need as at my fingertips and it's light yet solid. 28mm is also perfect for me. I take this everywhere with me whereas my DSLR kit was often sat in the cupboard. Yes it's expensive...but it's also a phenomenal camera...it's pure and simple rather than being full of irritating menus and features.

Hi Atticus. It's a very different camera in my opinion. I have since moved on to the Leica M system but I do miss the Q a lot. The image quality is superior to the X100F in my opinion and it feels a lot more sturdy in the hand. It's also great having f1.7 and full frame. The X100T also helped me to capture some great photos. If you're looking at which one to get I would say the X100T or X100F are great for the money. The Q is amazing if you can afford it :-) Both are wonderful to use.
