@JackBarrett76 жыл бұрын
Awijit Singh A bastard language compared to what, precisely? Also, if those two words are the nuances on which you base your argument, do yourself the credit of studying more. Here's a hint:, written English has more commonalities w. German than even other Germanic languages, yet the etymology of most English words are from the Latin, while, phonetically, the pronunciations lean more to the French influence. So, how is it a bastardized language? Maybe I am biased, because I didn't learn English from Sesame Street, Al Jazeera, or a community colleges night courses.

What I don't understand is the combination of a former professional wrestler turned actor has this much intellectual sharpness on political matters. I think Ventura is something different and something special, one way or the other.
@brandonselitetv14367 жыл бұрын
DD Andrews well he has a history in the military
@ddandrews8257 жыл бұрын
RevolveTechUSA 99 Being in the military teaches a person discipline, resilience, obedience, etc, but next nothing on intellectual sharpness. Being in professional wrestling teaches a person how to act, perform & be physical. The whole experience in those areas can make a person little bit more wiser, probably bit more than a typical career. Many people who get into military & pro wrestling come out as total self destructs. I would say Ventura was already a man with a keen mind who got in to pro wrestling because of his physical abilities & to make some money out of it. Obviously that had him prepared for his political career as well. But, intellectual sharpness is his own. You either have it or you don't have it. Even though he has slight tendency towards conspiracy theories(perhaps due to his experience in military), he is a good proponent of the post millennium political/intellectual counter culture.
@descendant0fdragons7 жыл бұрын
Indeed , military doesn't give you the right intellectual sharpness, Jesse has, but sure it will boost the basic level up to have discipline to acquire and search for new knowledge. He did mention that he read a lot later when he was traveling and waiting for planes in terminals etc. Also it's pure common sense mixed with experience that he has.
@ddandrews8257 жыл бұрын
True. Everybook you read(depending on your choices of books) can expand your intellectual horizon as long as what you read is not trashy novels. Yes, Ventura mentioned during his traveling from venue to venue in his pro wrestling days he read to pass time, and that obviously helped him a lot, because most wrestlers spend that time with drugs and sex.

I can't say I'd ever be an admirer of Castro, however Jessie is entitled to his opinion. He's correct about the U.S. having one more choice than a dictator, but this hardly exonerates his character or lessen his own crimes in any way. That Castro isn't the only political criminal is poor justification for an endorsement as well. I'd want about as much to do with Castro as I would the Bush's, Obama's, Clintons and a host of others political "leaders" (that would be zero). All of his other points were straight up and on target. He had every right to travel there and to see for himself. Barring his wife is pure nonsense and the pettiest of personal slights from a hostile Bureaucracy and an Administration that says one thing "you can travel to Cuba" and does another "But you can't go to Cuba". How is that possibly a 'free' country?
@RMT1923 жыл бұрын
How do Castro's crimes over 50 years even come close the crimes the US has committed against other countries and its own citizens over the same time period - illegal Wars destroying the lives of millions and mass incarceration of its own citizens!!! Not a fan of communism but painting Castro as a bad guy with one broad stroke is completely ignoring all the good things. In the history of communism, Cuba is a wild success story compared to other epic failures.
@matthewronson52183 жыл бұрын
@@RMT192 You are confusing a topical discussion (Castro) and trying to claim it is not fair not to include every tyrant the world has ever know. As I said, "he was correct about the U.S. having more one more choice for dictators", so I don't see how you can make that an issue of contention. Cuba is a wild success story among all of the other abysmal failures is hardly a ringing endorsement. I would not choose to be "friends" with any dictator or tyrant, foreign or domestic, like the way FDR fondly called that butcher Stalin "Uncle Joe". Why? They are all thugs, different Mafia families that can go to war with others of their own kind, kill their own and still like or admire them (it's not personal, it's business)" As far as that goes, it is all pretty much the same in so many regards, it is just a relative scale. Cuba is tiny so has a much smaller potential. If they were larger, they'd do more to make sure misery was spread evenly. Back to reiterate the point, I just can not see how these Hollywood types seem to love and admire tyrants, knowing what they have done, knowing that they are the elite with the best of everything while the peasants fabricate and improvise for their daily needs I don't care what their name is; Castro, Clinton, Obama, Bush, Trump or Biden, and I'd wager that you do not either. Be well my friend.
