Jesse much like that giant attack Bahamut did when both you and Joshua were fighting him in the sky, when Barnabus does Blinding Steel (the attack that covered the whole stage), you can simply run behind him to avoid it. Also Jesse you can turn off your Limit Break with the same left n right stick input so you aren't wasting it when you're fighting someone who's out of reach. Also Dion and Terence give Loras Tyrell and Renly Baratheon vibes. I sorta love it :) Also one more edit (the 3rd one), Odin's Eikon power is all in Zantetsuken. Upgrading the base ability, Arm of Darkness, to master is the goal. All those side abilities are weak for the reason that they exist just to pump the Zantetsuken gauge to do one giant attack on everything on the screen or a boss's HP. That + Gigaflare is a ridiculous amount of damage in a stagger phase on a boss.

it starts slowly, but if you listen close the prologue theme to FF IV starts around 1:29:22 and doubles down at 1:29:53 beautiful callback, especially in the context, regarding a conversation about crystals.

1:05:41 I just noticed; Barnabas seems to have 2 semi-prime forms. Almost every other Dominant that we've seen so far has a semi-prime, and a full-prime form: semi-prime being their human form with a 'shroud' so to speak (Benedikta's winged form that she fights Cid in the chapel, for example), and full-prime being their fully released eikon form. Barnabas has his normal human form, the first semi-prime where he changes via a black/red cloud and has that knight armour on, a second semi-prime seen here (at the timestamp provided, give or take a few seconds) where he has a blue "overlay" of Odin's armour (you can see the horns of Odin's helmet overlayed over his normal helmet), and his full-prime being Odin/Odin+Sleipnir. Of course, this is all conjecture, and that 'first semi-prime' I'm talking about could be him using Requip magic to put on armour.

I think it's possible the dude didn't semi-prime until the end and the armor we initially see him with is just... armor with a few glows here and there. Might also be that, as you said, he has two semi-prime forms.

Hehe. Each to their own style and comfort. I just find it funny to have the Berserker Ring which boosts your damage through dodging, endorsing you to not take damage, yet still combo that with defensive accessories. So good to see more of this tho!

Jesse, please try out Flames of Rebirth and Diamond Dust - they both do tremendous aoe damage and a huge drain on enemy stamina - plus Flames of Rebirth can also heal. 🙏 Don’t forget, you can respec for free as many times as you like!

I really wished they hadn't made Barnabas so preachy, it's like he's making up for all of the lost time he wasn't on screen. Still a great fight though, less Eikon vs Eikon and more man vs man. Definitely less spectacular than Titan and Bahamut fights to be sure. 15:45 Agreed, reminds me of the climb through the Crystal tower. 38:22 I kinda wished that they did more of these kind of fights, back to back boss gauntlets. 1:01:25 REVEL! They even gave you the QTE to let you catch the giant sword. 1:15:35 No cconsent from Odin. Quite a contrast from Jill handing over her Eikon powers. 1:32:36 All in a days work for FF protagonists. Also have fin with Odin Jesse! All of his skills are used to build up Zantetsuken, that's why the damage is so low. Anything less than a Zan lvl 5 seems weak in comparison, so you might want to upgrade it asap.

ackshully 🤓 rift slip is great for canceling attacks and stopping time to do extra damage during a stagger. dancing steel does a lot of damage and usually gets 3 levels of zantetsuken in one. zantetsuken level 3 isn't bad, but 4 is better and 5 is best.

My personal favorite skill combo is putting the lightning orb (don't remember the name) on a staggered enemy then using Dancing Steel which normally does poopoo damage since that's not the point of the Odin skills, but the orb actually makes the damage surprisingly decent. More importantly though, it charges Zantetsuken all the way to level 5, and level 5 Zantetsuken is just always a good time.
