JESSE DO IT! You liked the look of Gigaflare and it's just so effing cool that you can't just not use it!!! Remember that you can always refund abilities whenever you want, and because you can only have 6 abilities anytime you're upgrading, changing or swapping an ability out, you can refund the ability you had before! So if you replace with Gigaflare, you can refund the to help pay for Gigaflare (or whatever ability you like later) And it's a giant laser beam of best dragon boy energy, how can you not use that!??!!11!

You can always reset the abilities and try different builds! Also no need to "master" abilities that you aren't going to put on other eikons. Meaning you can reset those abilities and just "upgrade" them. So glad to see more content tho! Can't wait for the next bit.

19:45 Well I suggest you try stuff out in the training space, and then level up what you like. Either master it and put it on a blessing's base ability that agrees with you or level up Bahamut or Rahmu and trade it with Titan's block since you never use it.

There are a few cutscenes that go with the bartender when you buy a 10K round for everyone if you do them later in the game. This game actually has a lot of little cutscenes you can easily miss if you dont talk to the NPC's multiple times before moving the story forward. You see that in that one scene with them eating the bread by the bar, that whole cut scene is one of many that are missable if you dont slow down and go around and talk to NPCs multiple times. 1:23:00 "Underhill" is a Final Fantasy 1 reference...a very deep cut! 3:19:35 - This music is the Final Fantasy 1 field/overworld theme. :)

I get the stuck in your ways thing. I'm usually the same way. Once I get comfortable with something, I usually stick with it, but bahamut's abilities are so ridiculous that I ended up getting rid of ramuh and most of garuda to slot in gigaflare and impulse. As much as I loved using Garuda's tornado, it can be dangerous since it obscures the battlefield. But that gigaflare ability is just too fun watching it melt down a boss' health bar

Man, I hate being late to Jesse’s vids! I was gonna recommend replacing the tornado with Upheaval so he can do Wicked Wheel > Upheaval (USE UPHEAVAL IN THE AIR, JESSE) And then put Windup on Bahamut with Gigaflare.

OH YEAH! I was waiting for this to come back! Combat pro tip: The game never outright tells you this but with flying enemies the best way to get them to the ground is to use phoenix shift into using fire. It causes a blast of fire that is guaranteed to knock them down and has a bigger hit radius than the down thrust. You can possibly get more than one if the enemies are close enough.

First off use whatever abilities you want but remember you can mix and match abilities from different eikons so just take out one of the abilities you don't like and swap it for the bahamut Lazer beam. Also I'm convinced now Mid is building a ship out of the hide away, she's involved with all the construction, she talked about wanting to make the boat fly, now we learn she was asked to work on secret war engines. Yup 💯 percent building an airship out of the hideaway.

i think the wings of light ability is a good fit for players using the timely accessory that gives the quick-time prompt for dodges, makes it efficient to charge up to max. So instead of switching to Bahamut you could make good use of the mega laser in place of the AOE titan ability as way to skyrocket your stager damage, but mastering it is very expensive.

You're back! I love this playthrough, especially since I don't have the money to buy a PS5 or FFXVI itself. On the skills, since you never use the block, you could master the Titan skills then put them on other things. That said, the Bahamut megaflare looks... niche.

The 100% best skill in the game is the Will o' the Wykes. It blocks hits for you, as well as does ticks of damage for both staggering enemies faster, and increasing your damage percentile against staggered enemies (Impulse works great for this as well). Combo that with using Lightning Rod and Gigaflare once enemies are staggered and You just watch the health bar melt and your energy bar fly up. My favorite combo in the game.

Frankly, you do you is my advice on the abilities in the game. I could tell you what I think are the best/coolest or what I think you'd enjoy the most, but just play however you like. This game basically lets you do whatever the fuck you want and you're not punished for not being "perfect" at it. You could minmax and become super cool ability fiend, but whatever. Just have fun my guy
